Persona 4 Revival, the remake of 2008’s Persona 4 that was officially announced last year, has finally gotten a release date. At today’s Xbox Games Showcase, it was confirmed that the game will be arriving on February 18, 2027.
This remake follows Persona 3 Reload, which was released in 2024. Like that title, Persona 4 Revival will be modernizing the original game and adding in some of the features that made Persona 5 such a big hit. While Persona 4 Golden on the PlayStation Vita was a fan favorite, this release has the potential to be even better.
Persona 4 Revival Officially Arrives February 2017
Persona 4 Revival was first announced during last year’s Xbox Games Showcase, but fans were only shown a brief teaser trailer. The brand-new trailer showed off the game’s new and improved visuals and confirmed that the title would be out early next year, on February 18, 2027.
Another intriguing bit of news is that Persona 4 Revival will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch, which means the remake will be free for subscribers of those services. The game will also be coming to PlayStation 5 and PC via platforms like Steam, with the game currently available to wishlist.
Persona 4 Revival Is Rebuilding the Game From the Ground Up
Persona 4 Revival isn’t just an expanded version of the original title like Persona 4 Golden was. Every aspect of the game, from its character models to its assets and environments, is being completely rebuilt. There have also been reports that Persona 4 Revival will have a brand-new voice cast, with its original voice actors being replaced.
Currently, it’s not clear if the game will include the additional story elements added in Persona 4 Golden, but it’s possible that they’ll be added via DLC, similar to Episode Aigis: The Answer DLC for Persona 3. Aside from these missing details, Persona 3 Reload was a faithful remake, so fans can expect that same level of faithfulness from Revival.
