One Piece Officially Gives Jewelry Bonney a New Gear 5 Transformation

Jewelry Bonney unleashing her own version of Luffy’s Gear 5 transformation sits as one of the most iconic moments in One Piece recently. And now, this form of hers is making a return in a brand new release of the franchise.

Per the official One Piece website, Banpresto’s flagship Grandista figure line has launched a new Jewelry Bonney figure designed after her temporary Gear 5 transformation from the Egghead Island arc of the anime. The collectible depicts the character striking a dynamic pose as she prepares to throw a punch, with white clouds wrapped around her arms and neck to form a celestial scarf, also known as a hagoromo. Bonney is also seen floating on a pair of clouds, which acts as the base of the figure.

One Piece Releases New Jewelry Bonney Gear 5 Figure from Banpresto

Standing 24 centimeters tall, the Bonney figure upholds the Grandista series’ reputation for producing the largest figures in Banpresto’s entire lineup. It features intricate sculpting that faithfully reproduces everything from the contours of the character’s body to the precise folds and wrinkles in her clothing.

The collectible began rolling out sequentially in Japan on June 9, 2026, and is now exclusively available as a crane game prize at amusement centers and arcades nationwide. While there are no concrete details about an international release of the product, it might soon hit overseas markets through third-party retailers and authorized distributors, as with previous figures in the series.

Bonney’s Gear 5 transformation came as a surprise to readers and viewers alike during the climax of the Egghead Island arc. While fighting alongside Monkey D. Luffy against Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, Bonney was inspired by Luffy’s Gear 5 form to unlock her own equivalent Gear 5 form. Despite possessing the Age-Age Fruit, which primarily allows the user to manipulate their own physical age and the ages of other people, she achieved this form, which was previously considered exclusive to the Gum-Gum Fruit.

This was made possible by her Distorted Future technique, an ability that lets her tap into anyfuture she can envision. By visualizing a future in which she is the most free, like the legendary Sun God Nika, she temporarily attained the aesthetic of Gear 5. This transformation immediately pushed Bonney into discussions surrounding the strongest characters in the series.

The One Piece anime is currently airing the Elbaf Island arc, which debuted on April 5, 2026. This marked a brand-new beginning for the long-running adaptation, as Toei Animation officially transitioned the series into a seasonal format following a three-month hiatus.

Under this revised production schedule, the anime will air a maximum of 26 episodes per year, replacing the year-round weekly broadcast model the series has maintained since its premiere in 1999. The decision was made to enhance overall animation quality and preserve the series’ pacing.
