Lilo & Stitch 2 is bringing back a blast from the past.
Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch 2 will be a direct sequel to its 2025 remake of the beloved film. The plot is still shrouded in mystery as the script is still being developed. However, it has been confirmed that the upcoming movie won’t be a remake of the animated Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch. Unlike its live-action predecessor, it will be an original story instead.
In an exclusive from The Hollywood Reporter, the co-creator of the original Lilo & Stitch film, Chris Sanders, will direct the live-action sequel. Along with creating the massive Disney franchise, he also co-wrote the 2002 animated movie. Sanders was also the voice of Stitch in both the very first movie and 2025’s live-action remake.
