PlayStation 5 and PC users can now pre-order the FlexStrike wireless fight stick controller, though the price of this dedicated controller is over twice as much as a standard DualSense wireless controller. The new controller will hit store shelves on the same date as a PS5 console-exclusive fighting game.
The FlexStrike wireless fight stick was first revealed in June 2025 during a State of Play broadcast. It has a 40-hour battery and can connect to a PS5 or PC console via the included PlayStation Link USB adapter or USB-C cable. The included PlayStation Link USB adapter can be used to connect up to two FlexStrike controllers on a single wireless connection when plugged into a PS5 console.

The FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick Enters the Ring on August 6
Although the PS5 already supports fighting game pads like the Victrix Pro KO Leverless Fight Stick, Sony will soon bring its own first-party option into the arena. The PlayStation FlexStrike wireless fight stick controller is now available for pre-order on PlayStation Direct for $199.99 and is expected to ship on August 6. The controller features a directional joystick, eight buttons that are mapped to traditional PlayStation inputs, and three restrictor gates that can be swapped out as needed. The square restrictor gate comes pre-installed with each FlexStrike controller, but users can also choose an octagon or circle restrictor gate to suit their play style. The joystick can also be adjusted to mimic the actions of either the D-Pad, Left Stick, or Right Stick thanks to a slider located on the top side of the fight stick.
The Flexstrike wireless fight stick has a built-in rechargeable battery that will allow up to 40 hours of wireless gameplay on a single charge. The battery can be recharged by connecting the controller to a PS5 console, a PC, or a USB-C power adapter via the included USB-C cable. The FlexStrike also comes with a sling carry case, which can safely hold the controller and any necessary cables. The upcoming peripheral will launch on the same day as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a PS5 console-exclusive fighting game by ArcSys and Sony. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will feature iconic heroes and villains from across Marvel Comics, including Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, and Wolverine.
As one of the most anticipated fighting games of 2026, it remains to be seen how successful Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will be on PS5 and PC. Along with Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the FlexStrike wireless fight stick can be used in other fighting games available on PS5 and Windows PCs. These include current-gen titles such as Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, WWE 2K26, and Tekken 8.
