Fallout 4 really is a game that continues to provide players with fresh experiences in the post-apocalyptic world that Bethesda is currently in charge of. It’s a good thing to, with the next game in the series likely years away, while the developer focuses on getting The Elder Scrolls VI out into the world as soon as possible.
A big part of those new releases is the work done by developers in the community as a whole, who have already proven their worth in the free modding scene that grew up around the game almost instantly. This was further legitimized by the Creation Club, an official portal where Bethesda-approved mods could be shared. Though the idea of paying for mods is still a little gross, there are some great downloads out there, including a new one that essentially functions as the quest DLC we’ve all been asking for.
Over on the official Fallout Twitter/X profile, the company shared a look at Buzzard’s Bounties, a new mod from the amusingly named Pignessman7, that brings a bunch of new quests into the game alongside a bunch of other features that really make it one of the most complete offerings around.
The mod switches us back to the silent protagonist approach of the earlier games in the series (in a decision that will please many), and it sets us out on a lengthy questline that will have us in contact with nine fully-voiced NPCs. The full list of features included in the download is as follows:
- 10 Quests.
- 9 Fully voiced characters.
- 600+ Lines of dialogue.
- Companion interactions.
- 2 New weapons.
- 3 New outfits.
- 5 New interiors.
- 3 New vendors.
As is so often the case with mods highlighted by the official accounts within the Creation Club model, you can’t pick this one up for free. Instead, it will set you back 500 Creation Club Credits, which means you’ll have to spend £3.99 / $4.99 USD for 500 credits, which is the lowest amount currently available on the store.
At the very least it looks like a compelling download, and it should give you a couple of extra hours of content to explore in a game that we all already know so well.
Otherwise, it’s simply going to be a case of sitting tight and waiting to hear more from Bethesda about what their plans are for Fallout 5. Let’s just hope we’ll all be around to play it when it eventually does arrive.
