Willem Dafoe and Michael Douglas are set to reunite 33 years later for a new Oliver Stone movie.

Details have been revealed on Dafoe and Douglas’ first movie together after over three decades, with Stone leading the charge as writer and director. Dafoe’s many movies are reflective of his prolific nature as an actor, having starred in six films in 2025 alone. Some of his recent work includes being cast in Nosferatu, as well as Yorgos Lanthimos’ Kinds of Kindess. As for Douglas’ recent work, he portrays Hank Pym in the Ant-Man movies and wider Marvel Cinematic Universe, and also recently starred in the 2025 drama Looking Through Water.

Now, Deadline has confirmed Dafoe and Douglas will be reuniting after 33 years, joining the cast of Stone’s White Lies. This will be the first movie the pair have starred in together since the 1993 erotic thriller Body of Evidence, directed by Uli Edel. The pair are joined in White Lies by Homer Gere, Yvonne Chapman, and Ellen Barkin, who round out the cast of the upcoming drama. Other confirmed cast members include Josh Hartnett and Leila George. Stone also released a statement about the casting news as filming begins:

The cast was a delight from beginning to end. And the Italian crew was the warmest I ever worked with. I’m profoundly grateful for this opportunity.

More to come…
