PlayStation Plus has revealed the titles coming to the Extra and Premium tiers’ Game Catalog this month, and you’d better be prepared for the long haul with two huge RPGs. Six games join the PlayStation Plus June lineup as part of the service’s ever-rotating selection for the two higher tiers, while the first of three classic games announced arrives for Premium members only.
Two massive RPGs are the headliners, though: Final Fantasy 16 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The former is the most recent brand-new mainline Final Fantasy entry, while the latter has emerged (alongside its more celebrated sequel) as one of the more immersive western RPGs of the last decade. FF16 will join the Game Catalog on June 16, while KCD will follow a week later on June 23, according to PlayStation Blog.
The full PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games list for June 2026, along with their U.S. addition dates, is as follows:
- Sonic x Shadow Generations – June 10
- Final Fantasy 16 – June 16
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance – June 23
- Life Is Strange: Double Exposure – June 23
- Farming Simulator 25 – June 30
- Blades of Fire – June 30
- Black Desert – June 30
- Gitaroo Man – June 16 (Premium only)
Final Fantasy 16 is a bit of a departure from the series’ norm, leaning heavily into action combat, rather than the turn-based or ATB systems FF is famous for. When it came out in 2023, our review called Final Fantasy 16 a modern masterpiece, noting that it’s a compelling innovation to the iconic series. The game is carried by a brilliant performance from Ben Starr as Clive, though the rest of the cast is equally laudable, and while it strips back a lot of the roleplaying elements that built Final Fantasy, FF16 is easily approachable for series newcomers.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is almost on the complete opposite end of the RPG spectrum. It is a deliberately slow, systems-heavy game that’s all about immersing yourself in its historically accurate depiction of 15th century Bohemia (modern day Czechia). I like to describe KCD as part peasant simulator. It cleverly grafts typical RPG progression and power-scaling onto upward mobility through Bohemian society. You’ll start out worrying about the condition of your shoes and that day’s meal before you ever hope to don a full suit of armor.
But the Game Catalog additions for June have plenty of other titles to look forward to. A remaster of Sonic Generations comes alongside a new story starring Shadow in Sonic x Shadow Generations, and Blades of Fire is a unique action game from MercurySteam, developers of Metroid Dread. Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, one of the newer entries in the long-running series, and the relaxing Farming Simulator 25 shouldn’t be overlooked as well. Black Desert joins PlayStation Plus if you’re looking for an MMO to sink your teeth into.
Extra and Premium bring a ton of games to try in addition to the monthly offerings for all subscription tiers, but June is sure to keep you busy with two long, content-packed games like Final Fantasy 16 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. PlayStation Plus always has options for everyone, but RPG fans are eating especially well this month.
