Trump’s White House Officially Reveals New Naruto Uzumaki Redesign

Naruto is finally back, but not in a way that most fans expected (or wanted). On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the U.S. Government under Donald Trump just unveiled a surprise redesign for everyone’s favorite knuckleheaded ninja.

Naruto’s new design, shared via Truth Social by the 47th U.S. President himself, is an AI-generated artwork of Donald Trump as the titular ninja from the Hidden Leaf Village. The one-second AI video features Trump as Naruto while summoning copies of himself with Naruto’s signature move, the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

As one would expect, the controversial AI video has gone viral online. Many social media accounts, such as X (formerly Twitter), have re-uploaded Trump’s unexpected anime “tribute” to Naruto, offering their own colorful thoughts on the matter. The video is available to view below.

Trump Unveils Controversial AI Design of Himself as Naruto

This is far from the first time the current U.S. administration has used anime and pop culture in general to promote Trump and his political endeavors. In March, Trump’s White House released a video on X featuring Dragon Ball and several other major Hollywood franchises to promote “The American Way.”

The unwanted Dragon Ball cameo came at the end, where a Dragon Ball Super clip of Beerus saying “Here it comes” was used to hype a real-life military bombing clip. Trump’s video also included unofficial references to Braveheart and Breaking Bad, as well as to Marvel’s live-action superheroes.

Ironically, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), a Marvel character who began his path towards heroism by rejecting the production of military weaponry once produced by his company, kickstarts the U.S. propaganda film. The release of the controversial U.S. clip coincided with America’s ongoing conflict with Iran, dubbed “Operation Epic Fury.”

In the White House’s own words, Operation Epic Fury’s main objectives are to “destroy Iran’s missile arsenal” and “destroy their Navy.” The latest forever war between the U.S. and Iran remains ongoing, coming at the cost of its citizens.

What’s Next for Naruto & Boruto?

Political distractions aside, 2027 is set to become a milestone year for Naruto and the Boruto anime franchises. Officially confirmed by TV Tokyo, Naruto is launching a major global campaign for its 25th anniversary, promising new games and, most importantly, new anime projects.

It was recently that the official Naruto YouTube channel uploaded a welcoming yet suspicious recap video that ran through the major events of the original Boruto series. The video, labeled with an eyebrow-raising title, “Road to Two Blue Vortex,” strongly hints at a long-awaited animated adaptation of Boruto Part 2, officially known as Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Of course, Naruto fans are also dying for any updates on the long-delayed 20th-anniversary specials that were pulled due to quality concerns. (And with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War set to end this year, Studio Pierrot may finally announce a new release date.)

The Naruto and Boruto anime franchises are available to stream on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Huly/Disney+. New and previous chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex can be read via Viz Media and the Manga Plus apps.
