Jujutsu Kaisen Officially Reveals Its Successor to the Culling Games

Jujutsu Kaisen‘s recent surprise reveal officially brings the Culling Games back much earlier than expected. Although MAPPA’s Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, “The Culling Game Part 2,” is still in production, a new game based on the Culling Games is scheduled for release this year.

Per Nintendo’s announcement, fans of Gege Akutami’s blockbuster anime and manga series can expect the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivation, a new multiplayer battle royale game, before 2026 ends. Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivation, developed by Shueisha Games and poncle, brings fans an official Culling Games experience ahead of Season 4’s projected release.

Jujutsu Kaisen‘s upcoming gaming release incorporates exciting gameplay elements that reflect the curse-fueled chaos of the Culling Games. Revealed only a few days before MAPPA’s 15th anniversary, the new Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivation game creates a fun way for Jujutsu Kaisen‘s fandom to enjoy Akutami’s sensational story and favorite characters from a fresh perspective.

Jujutsu Kaisen Officially Revives the Culling Games Early in Exciting New Game Reveal

The official Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivation announcement trailer was released during a recent Nintendo Direct event held on June 9. The trailer details exciting gameplay and highlights the game’s featured characters, including Yuji Itadori, Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Maki Zenin, Yuta Okkotsu, Kento Nanami, Choso, Kinji Hakari and Toge Inumaki.

In addition to the ensemble of iconic characters featured in the trailer, the announcement reveals that over 20 playable characters will be included in Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivation. The battle royale allows up to eight players per round, creating virtually endless combinations of playable characters to use, with plenty of other characters from Jujutsu Kaisen‘s expanding universe available to choose from in the future.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivation‘s action-packed announcement trailer highlights several gameplay features designed to keep the Culling Games experience as fun as possible. Players will have to navigate the appearance of bosses mid-battle while also fighting off Cursed Spirits and deadly sorcerers. A unique “Rule Addition” system keeps the game interesting by mimicking the evolving rules of the Culling Games from Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3.

While Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivation‘s reveal didn’t include a firm release date beyond the 2026 window, the announcement confirms that the game will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S and PC via Steam. The surprise game reveal arrives during Jujutsu Kaisen‘s ongoing 5th anniversary releases dedicated to the hit anime series. Jujutsu Kaisen‘s animation studio, MAPPA, will also be celebrating its official 15th anniversary on June 19, 2026.
