Pokémon Officially Launching New U.S. Accessories for Your ‘Playful Partners’

June 2026 has brought forth another brand-new wave of official Pokémon products — and one that most fans probably did not expect to ever see. For the first time ever, the Pokémon franchise has released an official accessory line dedicated to the millions of pets who share both our homes and our hearts.

Per a press release, The Pokémon Center recently launched its “Pokémon Playful Partners” series, which features pet bowls, collars, harnesses, beds, blankets and other assorted pet goodies. Beyond simply decking out items with colorful Pokémon-themed designs, certain pieces in the series are also modeled to resemble iconic monsters such as Jigglypuff and Snorlax.

As shown below, each product spotlights one or more Pokémon, many of which happen to be based on cats and dogs.

Pokémon Unveils Adorable New Pet Accessories for U.S. Release

Notably, “Playful Partners” features designs created by James Turner, who served as the Art Director for the Gen VIII video game installments, Pokémon Sword and Shield. In addition to illustrations of adorable monsters like Yamper, Growlithe and Fidough, he also introduces cozy designs of Pokémon using the collection’s products.

For example, the Pikachu-themed pet blanket depicts a contented Pikachu lounging on the Snorlax-shaped “Playful Partners” pet bed. The latter — a 27-inch-tall memory foam sofa ideal for medium to large-sized pets — is the most expensive piece in the series, costing roughly US$229.99.

In addition to the Gen I behemoth, Snorlax, his pre-evolved form, Munchlax, is also featured. For pet lovers searching for a fun way to store their furry friend’s food, Pokémon has also released a 2-pack set of silicone pet dish covers, one of which depicts Munchlax chowing down happily on a bowl of Pokémon food. Its counterpart features Skitty — a Gen III normal-type who is featured prominently alongside Munchlax as one of May’s partners in the Pokémon Advanced anime series.

Aside from the Snorlax pet bed, items in the “Playful Partners” series range from US$9.99 to US$189.99. To help promote the new collection, it is currently being spotlighted at the 2026 Pokémon North America International Championships, scheduled for June 12-14. Visitors attending the event in New Orleans, Louisiana, will be able to check out Pokémon’s brand-new pet products at the region’s local Pokémon Center.

With the global release of “Playful Partners,” Pokémon has also extended a gracious hand to animals who have not yet found their forever homes. On June 11, the Pokémon franchise collaborated with the Louisiana SPCA to host a special off-site adoption event at the Petite Rouge Café and Coffee Truck. Here, attendees got to meet adoptable animals and were treated to official product samples from the New Orleans Pokémon Center.

At the time of this writing, the “Playful Partners” pet accessory series is available at Pokémon Centers in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Germany. While the long-running Pokémon anime series is scattered across numerous platforms, Netflix is the primary streaming home for its next-gen entry, Pokémon Horizons: Rising Hope. Part 3 of this series is scheduled to debut on Netflix on June 26, 2026.
