Anime Expo 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest celebrations of anime fandom in North America, and Hulu is making sure it has a major presence on the convention floor. The streaming platform has announced the return of Hulu Animayhem, via a press release, but this year’s activation is expanding significantly with the debut of Animayhem Yokocho, an immersive anime-themed alley inspired by the bustling side streets and nightlife culture of Tokyo.
Running from July 2 through July 5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the experience will place fans directly inside worlds inspired by some of Hulu’s most popular anime series. From interactive games and themed photo opportunities to exclusive souvenirs and digital keepsakes, the activation appears designed to give attendees far more than a traditional convention booth. Instead, Hulu is creating a fully themed attraction at Anime Expo centered around several of its biggest anime titles.
Hulu Animayhem Yokocho Brings Multiple Anime Worlds Together
The centerpiece of Hulu’s Anime Expo plans is Animayhem Yokocho, a convention-floor attraction filled with references to fan-favorite anime series. The themed corridor will feature decorative paper lanterns, cherry blossom elements, character displays, and hidden Easter eggs inspired by shows available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
Among the featured franchises are Naruto, Tokyo Revengers, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Rooster Fighter, Mission: Yozakura Family, Though I Am An Inept Villainess, and Undead Unluck: Winter Arc. Rather than highlighting a single property, Hulu is bringing multiple anime universes together in one interconnected experience that encourages fans to explore every corner of the activation.
Attendees can also expect exclusive themed giveaways and memorabilia tied to the various franchises. Combined with the interactive elements scattered throughout the attraction, the setup looks designed to keep visitors engaged while creating social media-friendly moments that showcase Hulu’s growing anime lineup.

Several Hulu anime attractions have already been revealed in the press release, including a Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War photo experience. Fans will be able to stand alongside life-size displays of characters including Ichigo, Orihime, Uryu, Chad, and Ganju. Participants can take part in a themed selfie station and receive a digital keepsake framed with custom branding.
Naruto fans will have the chance to visit a recreation inspired by the hero’s favorite ramen restaurant. Guests can sit beside a Naruto cutout and pose with decorative ramen bowls. Meanwhile, Tokyo Revengers will feature a large graffiti-style wall showcasing artwork from the series and the iconic dragon tattoo associated with the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Gachiakuta Season 2 Gets Official Release Date (But There’s A Big Catch)
A special Gachiakuta event titled ‘Return to the Pit’ has been scheduled to give fans more information and a first look at Gachiakuta Season 2.
Some attractions go beyond photos and lean heavily into participation. Rooster Fighter will host a dance challenge where attendees can record videos alongside animated versions of Keiji, Piyoko, and Elizabeth. Hulu is even teasing the possibility of surprise appearances by a rooster mascot. Mission: Yozakura Family, meanwhile, introduces a timed challenge that gives guests just 60 seconds to pack the family’s gear in a collaborative puzzle-style activity.
Additional experiences include a court-themed photo opportunity based on Though I Am An Inept Villainess, where guests choose sides before posing for portraits. Fans of Undead Unluck: Winter Arc can also come face-to-face with Apocalypse, the series’ infamous talking book, in a themed encounter inspired by the upcoming storyline. With a wide range of activities spanning action, comedy, and fantasy anime, Hulu’s Anime Expo 2026 presence is shaping up to be one of the convention’s most ambitious attractions.
