GTA 6 Trailer 3 Has Gamers Losing Their Heads

The upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI really has got fans of the franchise behaving in a way that many thought they would probably never see for any video game. Sure, it’s undoubtedly an exciting time to be a gamer, but all we can really do is sit tight and wait to hear more from Rockstar about their plans for the game.

We will be getting a third trailer at some point soon, along with information on exactly what preorders will look like, but that lack of information has the community scrambling to find out what they can for themselves. That has led one fan in particular to quite extreme measures, and you almost certainly won’t believe what they have been claiming to do.

As first reported by Tom’s Hardware, one user on the /r/GTA6unmoderated/ has been trying to work out exactly when the third trailer is set to drop. All fine, you might think, until you hear that they have been monitoring decibel and acoustic levels, traffic in the car park, and even oxygen levels at Rockstar North’s offices to confirm their hunch.

Their theory essentially relies on the idea that increased activity at the office means they’re ramping up to release something major, which at this point can only really be trailer three. For obvious reasons, this might be the strangest tactic ever employed to glean inside information on a game, but of course, it would be GTA VI that has the chops to motivate that kind of behavior.

The practicalities of this unprecedented step for a fan is where it starts to become quite weird to think about, as they have to be spending a significant amount of their time physically in place outside the office, as well as monitoring expensive devices they have presumably placed around the site.

In sharing all of their data on Reddit, there were a concerning number of folks who complimented the OP for their approach, though there were also plenty who suggested it might be time to hang it up and do something else for the time being.

The best course of action, really, is simply to try and forget about GTA VI’s existence until something new happens. Then, it’ll be worthwhile getting all excited again, ahead of release in November. Plus, there are plenty of brilliant games that have come out in recent months, so why not clear out some of that pesky backlog in the meantime?
