Assassin’s Creed Shadows Officially Free For All To Download Until June 23

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is still a pretty fresh release, in terms of the series as a whole. It’s the latest mainline entry in this now-decades-long franchise, and finally takes fans to Japan after clamoring for it for so long. While the revival of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is on the horizon, all eyes are on Ubisoft to see where the series goes next after Japan.

If you haven’t tried out Assassin’s Creed Shadows yet, now might be a good time. Ubisoft has just announced a new promotion where you can get in and try out the full game, but there are a few provisos. Notably, you have until June 23 to take advantage, so make sure you grab it fast and make your way through this massive game. By many estimates, you’ll need at least 60 hours to finish it.

Ubisoft+ Premium is offering a free trial period with a few strings attached from June 18-23. This is when the trial is running:

Ubisoft points out that the Claws of Awaji expansion is also playable for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, so if you finished the base game and are interested in the DLC, you could boot it back up and partake. “Premium editions, DLC, and bonus content” are also on the table. ​​​​​Again, this isn’t a half-hearted promotion, but since it doesn’t last long, it might be worth trying out as soon as the promo goes live in your region.

For lapsed Assassin’s Creed fans, this offer is a slam dunk. Ubisoft+ Premium has a ton of classic games in its back catalog, including other Assassin’s Creed games.
