Zenless Zone Zero, the urban fantasy action role-playing game, is finally making its long-awaited debut on Steam this June. Additionally, ZZZ is receiving its biggest update yet with the arrival of Season 3.
Hoyoverse, the global gaming publisher behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, revealed the latest update to ZZZ, alongside the official Steam release date for PC. Zenless Zone Zero will be released on Steam on June 17, 2026, with cross-platform data sharing support. The release date coincides with the game’s upcoming Season 3 update, which will take players from the streets of New Eridu to the skies of Roscaelifer.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0, “A Sleepwalker’s Confession,” will introduce the first playable Wind-attribute Agent Velina, as well as the adorable little scientist, Norma. New permanent game modes will also make their debut in the upcoming update, as well as a lot of generous in-game rewards, such as free 1,600 Polychromes.
Zenless Zone Zero Season 3 Officially Launches with Steam Debut and New S-Rank Agents
“As the Administrative Director of the ESD, S-Rank Wind-attribute Anomaly Agent Velina is the first Wind-attribute Agent in Zenless Zone Zero,” her official description reads, via a press release. “She can accumulate Wind Anomaly buildup on enemies, causing them to enter the Windswept state.”
“When Windswept and another Attribute Anomaly are simultaneously applied to a target, a unique Vortex effect is triggered, dealing AoE damage of the other corresponding attribute to surrounding enemies. When the team includes two or more Anomaly Agents or Agents of the same attribute, Velina’s Windswept and Vortex damage will significantly increase. As more Agents join in future versions, her potential will continue to expand.”
Alongside Agents Velina, S-Rank Fire attribute Stun Agent Norma is also making her highly anticipated debut in ZZZ Season 3. “Her combat mechanic revolves around her signature hat, which continuously accumulates Preheated Chamber regardless of whether Norma is on or off the field. With sufficient resources, she can convert teammates’ Quick Assists into Chain Attacks, creating additional Chain Attack opportunities for the entire squad.”
S-Rank Agents Ye Shunguang and Angels of Delusion’s Sunna are also making their return this season, as well as their respective exclusive W-Engines. Both characters are currently seen as among the strongest agents from ZZZ Season 2 and overall in the game. So, anyone who initially missed out on acquiring these gacha goddesses should start saving now for this unbelievable opportunity.
Of course, the biggest shakeup this season on ZZZ is the brand-new location, Roscaelifer, a sky-island city heavily populated by Bangboo. As players explore this mysterious new land, they’ll receive rewards, such as the highly coveted Polychromes, through a new collection system called “Interboo.”
However, the most welcome addition to Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0 is the introduction of two new permanent game modes, giving players more opportunities to earn and save for scouting S-Rank agents. The first new game mode, “Bangbang! The Genius and the Miracle Chip,” lets players nurture and command Collaboorator squads to repair the Central Computing Hub and complete chip research missions.
The second game mode, “Annihilation Simulacrum,” is a new permanent battle mode centered on high-difficulty boss challenges with no elemental weaknesses or resistance. Forcing players to put their skills to the test by emphasizing the mechanical understanding and precise execution of ZZZ‘s over-the-top battle system. Furthermore, a series of limited-time events will open. Completing these events will yield a Tuning Calibrator, W-Engine, Polychromes, title, and other similar rewards, alongside new Drive Disc sets.
Last but not least, Velina’s limited-edition outfit, Shade of Leisure, will also go on sale following the ZZZ Version 3.0 update. Zenless Zone Zero will soon be available on Steam on June 17, 2026. The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
