Transformers SDCC Exclusives Are Officially Part of This Balanced Breakfast

San Diego Comic-Con is known for having exclusive collectibles, and this year, for the Transformers franchise, that’s no different. In the case of the two recently revealed figures, fans can expect to be taken back to Saturday mornings and breakfast tables of the 1980s.

The Transformers Optimus Prime and Jazz Cereal Box Set comes in packaging meant to evoke old-school cereal boxes, complete with a wholly original mold for one Autobot in particular. Likewise, the Transformers Jem & the Holograms Autobot Blaster & KP Glit, KP Sundor and KP Rosanna set combines the robots in disguise with another, far more musical Hasbro property. Both sets will have limited quantities, however, so fans had better get theirs whenever they set foot at the convention.

The Autobots Transform and Rock Out with the Newest SDCC Transformers Exclusives

Hasbro’s Transformers Optimus Prime and Jazz Cereal Box Set comes with a redecoed and retooled version of the Transformers: Legacy toy for Autobot leader Optimus Prime toy, which was itself meant to evoke the character’s original action figure from the series’ debut back in 1984. The main difference this time is that the robot mode head has been altered, with the colors also being a bit divergent, given what else is included.

This time, Prime comes with his trailer, which is colored black instead of grey (almost resembling his figure from the Transformers: Generation 2 toyline) while bearing the Transformers branding, and as in Generation 1, it can open to transform into a battle base alongside the small drone Roller (which is black with white accessories instead of being blue). Along with his Ion Blaster (which can be carried in the cab of his truck mode), Optimus wields his powerful energo-ax and can also hold the Autobot Matrix of Leadership inside his chest. Roller isn’t the only smaller toy included with Prime, however.

Also included is a smaller, completely original mold for Jazz, which is heavily based on the Autobot’s Generation 1 design. Transforming from a robot into a non-licensed approximation of a Porsche 935 Turbo (which can fit inside Prime’s trailer), he wields a blaster that can be held in his hands or mounted on his vehicle mode’s roof.

The packaging for this duo is meant to evoke classic 1980s cereal boxes, specifically, the unreleased Ralston Transformers cereal from that era. Speaking of which, the other San Diego Comic-Con 2026 exclusive for the brand is the Transformers Jem & the Holograms Autobot Blaster & KP Glit, KP Sundor and KP Rosanna set, which is based on another Hasbro franchise from that time period. In this case, the Autobots included are all colored to resemble the protagonists of Hasbro and Sunbow Entertainment’s Jem & the Holograms, which shared the same universe as Sunbow’s The Transformers and G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero cartoons.

Blaster, as in Generation 1, transforms into a radio, with his “bandmates” turning into cassettes. Glit and Rosanna have their own small weapons, while Blaster has a plethora of musical accessories. He wields a large rifle, a microphone and a guitar that can transform into a keytar.

Many of these other cassette characters have been portrayed as being outright rock stars or musicians in previous Transformers continuities, so their use in the place of more recognizable Autobots such as Steeljaw or Rewind makes sense. Even the glistening box art embodies this truly outrageous crossover concept, being as bright and vibrant as Jerrica Benton’s rock star persona.

The Optimus Prime and Jazz set will cost fans $74.99 USD, whereas the Jem set is somewhat cheaper at $59.99 USD. “Exclusive” to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in July, the toys will have limited quantities at the event before being sold in a similarly limited capacity on the Hasbro Pulse website.
