The Legend of Zelda is officially celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and while fans are still waiting on a new game announcement, there are still some upcoming releases to look forward to. A gorgeous new vinyl featuring the best music from the Zelda series is set to arrive this December, and it’s an amazing way to celebrate the series legacy.
Zelda is known for its legendary music, and many of its games, including Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, rank among the best video game soundtracks of all time. Now, fans can enjoy the best music in the Zelda series with a new vinyl that celebrates 16 classic tracks.
The Official Zelda Vinyl Celebrates the Best Songs from the Series
The Zelda series has a history of celebrating its soundtrack. From 2012 to 2017, there was even a live, traveling Zelda orchestra that fans could go listen to in person: The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess.
Now, fans can pre-order “Zelda Classics – Sixth Station Trio Vinyl 1xLP,” an official Zelda vinyl album put together by Gamechops, and licensed from Nintendo. Set to be released in December 2026, fans will soon have a new way to experience 16 of their favorite tracks from the Legend of Zelda franchise.
“Zelda Classics is for the moments when you want these melodies to feel close – like a private performance instead of a game soundtrack,” the official description reads. “Sixth Station Trio reimagines the series with expressive violin, warm cello, and lyrical piano, letting each theme breathe with real emotional clarity. The arrangements move naturally from whimsical and joyful to dark and driven, and the quieter pieces land with that “timeless” feeling Zelda music is known for.”
For $32.95 USD, fans who purchase “Zelda Classics” will get a 1xLP pressed on hand-poured dark green vinyl. This will come in a sleeve with original artwork by Kristin Tan.
Side A of “Zelda Classics” will include: “Breath of the Wild,” “Great Fairy Fountain,” “Song of Storms,” “Ocarina of Time,” “Mipha’s Theme,” “Zora’s Domain,” “Hateno Village,” and “Horse Riding.” Side B of the album, meanwhile, will include: “Rito Village,” “Tears of the Kingdom,” “Zelda’s Lullaby,” “Tarrey Town,” “Mabe Village,” “Ballad of the Wind Fish,” “Dark World,” and “Epilogue.”
Previews of every track included in the “Zelda Classics” album can be listened to on Spotify right now. While the vinyl certainly places more focus on some games in the series than others, it still does a superb job at representing the franchise’s legacy as a whole.
Of course, many fans are still waiting for a new Zelda game, including the rumored Ocarina of Time remake. It’s possible that the Switch 2 Ocarina of Time will be announced soon, especially with a Nintendo Direct reportedly coming on June 8. However, even if Nintendo doesn’t release a Zelda remake this year, they likely have more plans for the franchise’s anniversary in store.
