It’s a Big Day for Spider-Man: Brand New Day
June 17 is the day many Spider-Man fans have been waiting for. The second Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer debut is imminent, and tickets are now on sale, including for the early Amazon screenings on July 29.
It’s been almost a year since the last Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, opened in theaters. That long wait for a new Marvel movie has only added to the excitement for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Many fans also see the new Spider-Man movie as kicking off the road towards the highly anticipated multiversal crossover movie, Avengers: Doomsday, in December.
What Is Spider-Man: Brand New Day About?
Spider-Man: Brand New Day establishes Spider-Man’s new MCU status quo. In the wake of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the Avengers no longer remember Spider-Man, and Peter Parker’s friends have no recollection of their past relationship. With Aunt May gone, Peter is more alone than he’s ever been and has to balance his responsibilities as Spider-Man with rebuilding connections with people like MJ and Ned.
According to Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s official synopsis, it’s a Brand New Day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves—a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Sadie Sink in a mysterious, unnamed role. Destin Daniel Cretton directed Spider-Man: Brand New Day from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers and Justin Kuritzkes.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day tickets are on sale now. Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters on July 31, with early Amazon screenings happening on July 29.
