Pokémon’s new merchandise release from the Bandai Spirits Ichiban Kuji line spotlights the franchise’s iconic early-era starters in a diverse merchandise collection commemorating the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Per Essential Japan, the top prize in Ichiban Kuji’s Pokémon 30th Anniversary lottery is a large plush version of Ash Ketchum’s electric companion that’s even bigger than the real Pikachu.
The new Ichiban Kuji prize lottery features over 40 Pokémon-themed prizes with selectable options for most prize tiers. Not only is the 50 cm 30th Anniversary Pikachu plush an incredible grand prize for the lucky winner, but another large Pikachu plush is also going to one additional fan thanks to Ichiban Kuji’s Double Chance Campaign.
Pikachu’s Giant Plush Steals the Spotlight in New Pokémon 30th Anniversary Collection
Ichiban Kuji’s “Last One Prize” is always widely coveted as the rarest lottery prize, and Pikachu takes the cake in a big way as the grand prize in the Pokémon 30th Anniversary collection. At 50 cm tall, Pikachu towers above the smaller starter Pokémon plushies in the new collection. Thanks to the Ichiban Kuji Double Chance Campaign, not one, but two lucky winners will receive the giant Pikachu plush as their prize.
The Pikachu 30th Anniversary Plush is a fantastic collectors’ item featuring Ash Ketchum’s iconic yellow companion holding a sign commemorating the anniversary. For Pokémon fans dedicated to the gaming franchise’s lore, it’s worth noting that this 50 cm plush Pikachu is taller than the listed height of between 40 and 41 cm in the official Pokédex. Despite the small height buff, the 30th Anniversary Pikachu Plush is still shy of Raichu’s listed Pokédex height of 78–79 cm.
