Jujutsu Kaisen fans have a brand-new release to look forward to in 2026. During the June 9 Nintendo Direct, Vampire Survivors developer poncle and Shueisha Games revealed its latest collaborative effort, Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton. Blending elements of the hit anime and survivor-like gameplay of Vampire Survivors, Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is a new battle royale experience that’s coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later this year.
Developer poncle hit the scene with its breakout indie hit Vampire Survivors back in 2022, earning numerous award show nominations for its simple yet addictive gameplay. 2026 has already been a big year for the studio, which has already released a dungeon-crawling successor to Vampire Survivors with Vampire Crawlers. Now, that survivor-like formula is being applied to an officially licensed Jujutsu Kaisen game with a unique battle royale twist.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is a New Survivor-Like Battle Royal Launching in 2026
Fans of JJK and Vampire Survivors are getting their dream game this year, with Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton set to deliver a tense survivor-like experience with a battle royal twist. Players will have to survive against Cursed Spirits as they grow stronger in combat, fighting to outlast their opponents in an up to 8-player PvP battle royale mode. JJK Rumble: Survivaton features a vast roster of over 20 fan-favorite characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, such as Satoru Gojo, Kento Nanami, Megumi Fushiguro, and more.
Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton can also be played as a single-player experience.

The gameplay of JJK Rumble: Survivaton is built on the core Vampire Survivors formula: players take on wave after wave of enemies with attacks automatically triggering, leaving them to focus on avoiding attacks and selecting upgrades. With eight players competing in a battle royale-style PvP mode, JJK Rumble: Survivaton requires players to keep pace with their opponents’ scores or risk falling behind.
The main twist of this gameplay loop comes with the Rule Addition mechanic, where players who earn enough points can hinder their opponents’ progress by adding game-changing rules to their run. When only two players remain, they will face off in a 1-vs-1 duel to decide who is the ultimate winner. This duel mechanic is unlike anything in Vampire Survivors‘ gameplay, making JJK Rumble: Survivaton a wholly unique experience for both anime and survivor-like fans to enjoy.

For Jujutsu Kaisen anime fans, the world of creator Gege Akutami is alive and well in JJK Rumble: Survivaton. Enemies appear as the Cursed Spirits depicted in the anime, and each of the 20 playable characters has their own unique playstyle that resembles their anime counterpart. In typical survivor-like fashion, players will need to meet certain in-game conditions to fill out their roster of JJK characters, giving the game even more replayability.
Iconic techniques from Jujutsu Kaisen such as Domain Expansion and Black Flash appear in Survivaton as special moves, requiring players to fill an associated gauge throughout a match before activating them. These special skills also have the power to affect nearby opponents, meaning players can damage more than just enemies when unleashing their most devastating moves. While a firm release date hasn’t been shared yet, Jujutsu Kaisen fans can look forward to hearing more about JJK Rumble: Survivaton ahead of its release later this year.
