A brand-new, officially licensed Invincible tabletop RPG is set to release on July 30, 2026. Titled Invincible: Superhero Roleplaying, the starter set of this upcoming tabletop RPG will retail for $29.99 and will include everything fans need to dive in and play with their friends.
Debuting in January 2003, Invincible is a comic series written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Ryan Ottley and Cory Walker. The series revolves around the titular superhero who fights to defend Earth against an assortment of powerful otherworldly foes. The mainline Invincible comic run came to an end in February 2018, but the series was given new life in March 2021 when an animated adaptation hit Amazon Prime. Amazon’s Invincible show has continued to receive rave reviews from critics and already has a fifth season in active development.

This upcoming tabletop game bases its superhero action around the Year Zero Engine, a system that was originally developed for Mutant: Year Zero. For those unaware, the Year Zero Engine essentially revolves around a pool of D6s, a set of primary attributes, and a wider set of skills. In Invincible: Superhero Roleplaying, players will also have access to a unique set of ‘Powers & Boosts’ which grant special abilities like flight and increased armor, as well as a set of special ‘Talents & Drawbacks’ which offer additional gameplay bonuses and room for roleplay.
On July 30, 2026, fans will be able to pick up an Invincible: Superhero Roleplaying Starter Set from major tabletop retailers for $29.99. This set will include six pre-made character sheets, including iconic series heroes like Invincible, Atom Eve, Monster Girl, and Rex Splode. A double-sided action map will also be included, alongside standees for cardboard character tokens. A set of initiative cards, some custom D6 dice, and a three-part ‘Metro Mayhem’ introductory adventure round out the Starter Set’s contents.
