After a number of alleged leaks and rumors, a new Nintendo Direct has been officially confirmed for June 2026. This comes after a lot of speculation that a June Nintendo Direct was in the works and would follow after Summer Game Fest wrapped up. Apparently, that’s the case, because SGF is over and a new Direct is actually on the way.
The presentation will last almost an hour, followed by a 95-minute Nintendo Treehouse: Live. The announcement comes via the official Nintendo of America account on X, where a start time, date, and some additional details were shared. You can view the full post below:
The next Nintendo Direct will occur at 7 am PT/10 am ET on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. It will be “roughly 50 minutes,” according to Nintendo, before a 95-minute broadcast of Nintendo Treehouse: Live will follow. If you’re looking to get ahead, the link is already live on YouTube (although there’s still a 23 hour waittime), and you’ll also be able to stream the showcase via the Nintendo Today! app. You can find the YouTube link here:
In terms of what to expect, the Ocarina of Time remake is probably on most people’s radars. Although not officially confirmed yet, it leaked earlier this year alongside a Holiday 2026 release window. It’s quite possible the Nintendo Direct will give us our first glimpse of the remake, assuming the leak was true.
In terms of first-party games, there’s a new Fire Emblem on the way, Pokémon Winds and Waves, and a long-rumored follow-up to Super Mario Odyssey. All of those could be shown off tomorrow, even if the current rumor is that new Winds and Waves details won’t arrive until 2027. We’re also getting close to the 1-year mark of the Switch 2, so expect to see some new arrivals for members with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, likely a number of GameCube titles.
Third-party titles, including the upcoming Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, all feel like they’re on the table, so it should be a good day for Nintendo fans. ScreenRant will also be covering the Nintendo Direct, so if you can’t watch the stream, you can follow along with us right here.
