Marvel Unleashes Strongest Version of Spider-Man’s Sinister Six Ever, Bar None

Throughout the 21st century superhero boom, in the world of comics, among film enthusiasts, gamers, and even casual viewers, there is likely no franchise more iconic than Spider-Man. Since the inception of Peter Parker in 1962, few have been able to resist the charm of an everyday kid turned superhero, faced with endless struggle but always finding a way to do the right thing in the end.

Since his debut more than 50 years ago, several of Spider-Man‘s villains have become nearly as iconic as the web-slinger himself, with names like Doc Ock, Mysterio, Green Goblin, and Venom holding as much cultural significance as any other villain in pop culture history. At times, several of those villains have teamed up, forming a greater and far more entertaining threat than they might have posed on their own.

Fans can never resist a good team-up, whether it be between heroes or villains, and now, the deadliest version of Sinister Six appears to be on the horizon in Marvel and Toho’s upcoming Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse, a five-issue comic series that pits the deadly Kaiju against Marvel’s greatest superheroes in the finale of a crossover trilogy.

The Sinister Six is a legendary group of supervillains assembled and led by Doctor Octopus, consisting of six of Spider-Man’s deadliest and most popular nemeses. Though the roster has changed throughout different iterations of the team, the core goal and identity of the group remains largely the same even with substitutions to the roster. Now, a new sort of Sinister Six is on its way, and one more powerful than any iteration Spider-Man has faced in the past.
