Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan and Chainsaw Man Officially Set for New Reveals on June 19

The long-awaited anime sequel to Chainsaw Man is finally dropping new details about its upcoming release this June, courtesy of its acclaimed anime studio. MAPPA confirmed via its official social media channels that it will release new information about Chainsaw Man, following the box office success of 2025’s Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.

Anime studio MAPPA will release new information about Chainsaw Man‘s upcoming anime sequel, the “International Assassins Arc,” on June 19, 2026, the day of its 15th anniversary event. Additionally, MAPPA will also reveal new information about its upcoming and ongoing anime projects, such as Dorohedoro Season 3, Ranma ½ on Netflix, and Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

Of course, MAPPA is set to release new details about Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, as speculation over an official anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo grows. A 10th anniversary celebration for Yuri on Ice is also planned.

Chainsaw Man: The International Assassins Arc was officially announced at Jump Festa 2026, which took place in late December 2025. The upcoming anime adaptation picks up where “The Reze Arc” left off, with Denji’s life now on the line after his “explosive” battle with Bomb Girl has made his presence known to deadly assassins worldwide.

Currently, it’s unknown if the new Chainsaw Man anime will be a traditional TV season or another theatrical animated movie. If it’s the former, this will be the first new Chainsaw Man anime season since its 2022 debut. An estimated release date has yet to be announced.

A cryptic teaser for Chainsaw Man Season 2 was unveiled by studio MAPPA at Jump Festa 2026 last year, along with an official key visual for the highly anticipated story arc. In the trailer, Denji has his hands bound by gory bodily entrails, while the appearance of many new major characters is teased. Makima is also seen in a movie theater while several shadowy figures walk past the film projector.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is available to stream on Crunchyroll. The 2025 anime movie was the first new Chainsaw Man anime in three years, finally continuing the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man: Part 1.

The Reze Arc launched to critical and commercial acclaim in 2025 and nearly took the crown for Film of the Year at this year’s Anime Awards ceremonies. Per The Numbers, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has grossed over $191M worldwide since its domestic release in Japan on Sept. 19, 2025. Its initial release surpassed the box-office performance of Disney’s and Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

Chainsaw Man Season 1 is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu/Disney+. The complete manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto can be read digitally via Viz Media and the Manga Plus apps.
