John Wick director Chad Stahelski’s descent into dystopian crime is officially hitting screens next year.
A highly influential figure in the action genre, Stahelski served as Keanu Reeves’ stunt double in The Matrix (1999) before directing him in all four John Wick movies. Currently, Stahelski has several other projects in the works, which he will either direct or produce, including the Highlander remake, Ghost of Tsushima, Black Samurai, Shibumi, and a dystopian crime thriller coming next year.
According to Deadline, Lionsgate has set a January 29, 2027, theatrical release date for the dystopian crime thriller Karoshi, produced by Chad Stahelski’s 87Eleven Entertainment. Paramount’s action movie The Rescue, directed by Potsy Ponciroli and starring Brandon Sklenar, is also opening on that same date.
