Since the release of Hunter x Hunter Chapter 410, series creator Yoshihiro Togashi has officially completed 11 new manuscripts for manga. On X, Togashi said that manuscripts up to Chapter 421 are awaiting publication, some of which will have color pages.

“Please wait for the announcement from the Jump editorial department regarding the publication timing for chapters 420 onward,” Yoshihiro Togashi said on X. Now, Shonen Jump has finally made the announcement that Hunter x Hunter fans have waited two years for.

The Shonen Jump preview for Hunter x Hunter Chapter 411 reads: “A royal succession battle surrounded by malice! Center color pages to commemorate the publication of the latest chapter and the release of the latest volume! The battle for the throne intensifies! What will Kurapika and his allies do…?!”

Hunter x Hunter‘s highly anticipated return to Weekly Shonen Jump coincides with the series’ upcoming new volume, two years in the making. Hunter x Hunter Vol. 39, “Negotiation,” is scheduled to be released in Japan on July 3, 2026.

As longtime fans know, the unfortunate slow progression of the Hunter x Hunter manga is caused by the deteriorating health of its author, Yoshihiro Togashi, who suffers from chronic back pain. He is supported by his wife of 27 years, Naoko Takeuchi, who is also the creator of Sailor Moon.

Togashi has personally thanked fans and his wife for the love, support and patience they have shown as he continues to work through his health issues to deliver a new chapter of Hunter x Hunter. “I’m receiving tons of motivation to keep pushing from my wife,” Togashi said on his X account.

The Hunter hopefuls begin their journey by storm-tossed ship, where Gon meets Leorio and Kurapika, the only other applicants who aren’t devastated by bouts of seasickness. Having survived the terrors of the high seas, Gon and his companions now have to prove their worth in a variety of tests in order to find the elusive Exam Hall. And once they get there, will they ever leave alive…?”
