Xbox Game Pass Officially Loses 8 Great Games This Month

Heading into July 2026, there will be some new games arriving on Xbox Game Pass for players to anticipate. However, the new month will also see the departure of several games currently being offered, as they will be removed at the end of June.

Microsoft has confirmed that eight games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on June 30, 2026. Subscribers can purchase these games at a discount if they want to keep them after the expiration date. Included in the lineup are two Tomb Raider franchise games, and they are leaving at a time when the trailer for the next installment, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, is aiming for an early 2027 release. Also among the titles being pulled are the popular action game Payday 2 and the roguelike deck-building game Slay the Spire.

Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Can Say Goodbye to 8 Games

Check out the full list of games leaving Xbox Game Pass on June 30 below:

  • Mecha Break (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Payday 2 (Console)
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Slay the Spire (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Ultimate Chicken Horse (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Volcano Princess (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Unpacking (Cloud, Console, and PC)

The good news is that new games are consistently being added to the subscription service. Some of the titles that are still to come this month include EA Sports FC 26 (Cloud, Console, and PC) on June 18; Abyssus (Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, and PC) on June 25; and RV There Yet? (Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, and PC) on June 30.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 (Cloud, Console, and PC) will kick off next month’s offerings with its arrival on Ultimate and PC on July 2, though it’s currently available for Premium subscribers. This is followed by Winds of Arcana: Ruination (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC) on July 6. The day-one release of Halo: Campaign Evolved is another one of the most anticipated arrivals, and that’s set to drop on July 28.

Xbox Game Pass Will Continue Adding Day-One Releases

Players can look forward to more day-one releases coming to the service in the coming months as well. Confirmed releases include Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy on Aug. 27, Minecraft Dungeons II on Sep. 29, and Gears of War: E-Day on Oct. 6.

It was announced in April that Game Pass was lowering prices for subscription services. The idea was that by making the pricing more affordable, there would be more gamers playing on Xbox. One big catch to this change in strategy is that future Call of Duty games will not be day-one releases on Game Pass moving forward, though they will be added eventually, around a year after they first release.
