The 2026 launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 is all but confirmed, as Rockstar has revealed the game’s official cover art ahead of announcing when pre-orders will go live, with fans only needing to wait a week before they can snag a copy.
Grand Theft Auto fans know better than to get too excited about the game, given the incredibly slow trickle of information Rockstar has released. Rockstar and Take-Two have repeatedly said that Grand Theft Auto 6 is launching on November 18, 2026. That release date is now solid, as the official Rockstar Games Instagram account has announced that pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch on June 25, 2026.
Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 are available for both the physical and digital editions. To celebrate this announcement, the official Grand Theft Auto 6 website has been updated to include the game’s official cover art, bringing back the segmented art style of its predecessors.
Grand Theft Auto 6’s Price Will Be Confirmed June 25
The big question fans have been left with is how much Grand Theft Auto 6 will cost, as Rockstar and Take-Two have been coy about the price. The industry as a whole is seemingly pushing for an $80–100 launch, which will push the envelope for future games, while the fans continue to push back, despite the fact they’ll still be there on day one, regardless of the price.
Whatever the case, speculation about the game’s price is finally coming to an end, as are doubts about the release date.
