Deltarune: Where to Find All of Hacker’s Blue Checkmarks

In Chapter 2 of Deltarune, you may come across a character named Hacker. This triangle-headed character will task you with finding three blue checkmarks scattered throughout the Cyber Field.

Although these checkmarks are optional, finding each of them is tied to one of the chapter’s main secrets. If you uncover each checkmark, you’ll be able to face Chapter 2’s secret boss, but only after you do everything the NPC Hacker asks.

After entering the Library’s Dark World, the Cyber Field is the first main area you’ll explore. To find Hacker, progress through the area normally, then enter the place where you can find two robots with stereos for heads after your first confrontation with Queen.

By using the east exit here, you can go upward in the next screen to find Hacker. Once you find him, you can start your journey to Chapter 2’s secret boss fight.

Every Blue Checkmark Location In Deltarune Chapter 2

Blue Checkmark #1

Every blue checkmark you’re looking for will pop out of a red chest or be released from a puzzle. You can begin the search for Deltarune’s blue checkmarks immediately after leaving Hacker’s area.

The first checkmark is extremely easy to find and unlock. Follow these steps to find it:

  • Head south from Hacker onto the main path, and turn right.
  • Progress through the first bullet-dodging section, then go south again.
  • Walk down to the bottom right-most of this room, where you’ll find the red treasure chest.

That’s all you have to do! The chest will also contain an additional goodie for your party: a GlowWrist, which grants players +2 Defense when equipped, and which can be fused with the Iron Shackle to make a Spike Band.

Initially, a forcefield blocks the immediate path north to the second and third checkmarks, so you’ll need to continue eastward to find the “AGREE 2 ALL” keyboard puzzle first.

After completing this, you should return to where the forcefield was previously and proceed along the path to find the area with three teacup rides. This will let you gain access to the other two checkmarks, as you use the teacup platforms to rise up into other areas.

In the room with two robots with stereo heads, have your party jump onto the spinning teacup platform in the middle of the area. Rotate the platform to intercept all 16 upward arrows. Note that you have to rotate the platform so that Kris is the one to touch all the arrows. Then, jump off and open the chest with the checkmark.

In the same stereo robot room, use the leftmost teacup platform to rise up, collecting 10 arrows this time. Then walk upward to the next area.

In the next room, you’ll find a series of keys with letters. Above them is a black screen displaying a sequence of letters: GIASFELFEBREHBER. Your goal for this puzzle is to find the right path through the keys to spell out the word on the screen.

Begin at the G on the top-leftmost corner, and follow this sequence to spell out the word: down, down, down, right, up, right, down, right, right, right, up, left, down, left, up. The new letters will be spelled out in green under the original prompt.

If you do it right, a blue checkmark will appear in the smaller black screen to the right of the word. Thankfully, there are no consequences for failing this puzzle. Whenever Kris hits a wrong key in a keyboard puzzle, they will simply jump off and have the opportunity to start again.

What To Do After You’ve Found All The Checkmarks In Deltarune Chapter 2

Once you’ve collected all the checkmarks throughout the Cyber Field, you can return to Hacker. He will promise to come live in your city, then set off a fireworks display as a charming Deltarune reward.

Hacker will also reappear later in the Queen’s Mansion. When encountered again, Hacker will mention a secret passageway, which is a necessary location for discovering one of the main secrets in Deltarune‘s Chapter 2.

For anyone who wants to get Chapter 2’s Shadow Crystal, you’ll need Hacker’s help after getting all the checkmarks. Although there is no immediate reward for finding all of Hacker’s blue checkmarks in Deltarune Chapter 2 (besides the “cool demoscene,” of course), they are something you don’t want to miss.
