The Pokémon franchise is unleashing wave upon wave of incredible releases to coincide with its 30th Anniversary celebration. This fall, a renowned Japanese toy brand will honor several beloved monsters with a particularly “refreshing” new series of official redesigns.
Per Toy People News, RE-MENT recently unveiled its upcoming “Pokémon Shower Splash” figure set. As shown below, this new collection recreates the design of signature Pokémon moves under a unifying “fountain” theme. Accordingly, each figure bears a shape and form reminiscent of various types of water fountains. Readers can check them out below.
Pokémon Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Refreshing New Collection
Despite its name and theme, the “Shower Splash” collection is not dedicated exclusively to Water-type Pokémon. In addition to Milotic, Totodile, and Squirtle, the tributed monsters include the iconic fire-type Charizard, the electric-type Plusle and Minun, the Grass-type legendary Shaymin, and the dual Dark/Dragon-type Hydreigon.
There are six figures altogether, each one dynamically modeled after a specific Pokémon move. Plusle and Minun, the two cute mouse Pokémon, combine their collective electricity to pull off a powerful “Spark” attack, which is represented with vibrant yellow and blue accents. Likewise, Shaymin’s “Synthesis” technique is also creatively represented via waves of pink, petal-shaped energy waves surrounding its body, forming the shape of a large flower.
RE-MENT’s “Shower Splash” series is just one of several spectacular Pokémon-themed collections that the company has planned for 2026. Capitalizing on the continued popularity of blind-box figures, Pokémon and RE-MENT are also collaborating on the latter’s upcoming “Pokémon Windowsill” collection.
As the name implies, each figure depicts a cozy domestic scene featuring popular characters like Litten, Bulbasaur, Cleffa, Psyduck and Yamper. Additionally, RE-MENT is also beefing up its official Pokémon Terrarium collection with new 30th Anniversary pieces inspired by Pikachu, Caterpie, Vulpix, Charmander and the iconic legendary, Mew.
While it is not clear when the Shower Splash collection will be released internationally, Pokémon has plenty of 30th Anniversary initiatives in the works for fans on both sides of the Pacific. Recently, LEGO and The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) also announced a significant expansion to its popular “Smart Play” series, which features buildable figures and set pieces with built-in sound effects. A total of 12 Pokémon-themed additions have been announced, the majority of which feature select Pokémon duos and are themed around either battling or adventuring.
One particular highlight is LEGO’s “Charizard VS. Jolteon: Ultimate Battle” set. Like RE-MENT’s “Shower Splash” series, this release also spotlights Kanto’s famous fire-breathing behemoth. Both Charizard and Jolteon, once assembled, feature unique sound cries and attack effects that help younger Pokémon fans bring their simulated battle sequences to life. The set consists of 751 pieces, including bonus accessories such as Poké Balls. Pokémon’s “Smart Play” LEGO sets are currently listed for pre-order and are all scheduled for worldwide release on Aug. 1, 2026.
The “Shower Splash” Pokémon figure collection is scheduled for release in September 2026. In the meantime, Pokémon fans in North America can also catch up on the latest English-dubbed installments of Pokémon’s mainline anime series, Pokémon Horizons: Rising Hope, on Netflix. Part 3 is slated to debut on the platform on June 26, 2026.
