Dragon Ball features incredibly powerful characters, and its power scaling has reached a point in which most of the heroes can casually destroy planets with a single attack. This perpetual heightening led to the introduction of Beerus, Universe 7’s God of Destruction, and a vengeful deity who represented a whole new tier of power.
Beerus helped usher in God ki, stronger transformations, and a new status quo that’s only been pushed further in Dragon Ball Super. The full extent of Beerus’ power has yet to be seen and, as a God of Destruction, his Hakai ability can erase most individuals with ease. None of Dragon Ball’s heroes are at Beerus’ level, but there are some interesting antagonists who boast comparable power.
Dragon Ball DAIMA’s King Gomah is Unstoppable With the Evil Third Eye
Dragon Ball DAIMA’s final battle is against King Gomah, who gains the Evil Third Eye’s power and experiences a phenomenal power boost. Gomah doesn’t just become substantially larger and stronger, but he gains a tremendous healing factor that seems to basically make him invincible.
Additionally, Evil Third Eye Gomah holds his own against Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Majin Kuu, Majin Duu, and the strongest of the Tamagamis. He’s confronted with insurmountable power and keeps retaliating in kind.
This strength and regenerative power would likely be enough to cause Beerus pause. Gomah’s major weakness is that the Evil Third Eye dislodges if he’s hit in the back of the head three times in short succession. Someone who is as reactionary and stubborn as Beerus might just attempt to spam attacks, rather than utilize this crucial strategy.
Dragon Ball GT’s Omega Shenron Wields The Combined Power Of All The Shadow Dragons
Dragon Ball GT remains a controversial entry in the franchise. That being said, its Shadow Dragon Saga explores a worthwhile idea and features a creative team of villains who are manifestations of past Dragon Ball wishes. Syn Shenron, the strongest Shadow Dragon, transforms into Omega Shenron when he absorbs the other Dragon Balls and gains his Shadow Dragon peers’ powers and strength.
Omega Shenron’s strength is enough to overpower a two-on-one strike from Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta, not to mention the rest of the Z-Fighters. He can freeze his opponents, regenerate, and he even heals himself after a direct hit from Goku’s Dragon Fist.
Omega Shenron’s ultimate attack, his Negative Karma Ball, can infect the world with dark energy and take out the planet. Beerus’ strength surpasses Omega Shenron, but it’s his robust collection of other abilities that would help him keep up with the God of Destruction.
Fused Zamasu’s Half-Immortal Status Would Clash Against Beerus’ Godly Power
Dragon Ball Super’s “Future” Trunks Saga explores the terrifying concept of a God going rogue and harboring a hostile resentment towards mortals. Zamasu, Universe 10’s Supreme Kai apprentice, concocts an elaborate scheme that sees him stealing Goku’s body and teaming up with his future counterpart, Future Zamasu, who achieves immortality with the Super Dragon Balls.
Goku Black and Future Zamasu are dangerous on their own, but they use the Potara Earrings to become Fused Zamasu. Fused Zamasu is half-immortal, which means that even the most powerful attacks like Vegito Blue’s Final Kamehameha can’t kill him. Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks’ Sword of Hope severs Fused Zamasu in half, but this just causes him to become Infinite Zamasu.
Infinite Zamasu is such an unstoppable threat that Future Zeno has to erase his entire timeline. Beerus would struggle against Fused Zamasu’s immortal advantages, and he’s a threat that might actually be too much for him to handle.
Universe 11’s Jiren Holds His Own Against Ultra Instinct Power & Universe 7’s Finest
Dragon Ball Super‘s Tournament of Power showcases dozens of powerful opponents from across the multiverse, with Universe 11’s Jiren quickly standing out as the most substantial threat. Jiren is stronger than his fellow Pride Trooper, Top, who actually has a Destroyer Form. This indicates that Jiren’s power is at least on par with some Gods of Destruction.
This theory certainly becomes more credible when Jiren activates his Full Power and Super Full Power states. Jiren, at his strongest, keeps up with Goku’s recently activated Ultra Instinct power. Even then, Goku needs to work together with Frieza, Vegeta, and Android 17 to finally eliminate Jiren, and most of them get eliminated themselves in the process.
There are moments during Goku’s clash with Jiren where Beerus seems genuinely shocked over the power that’s on display. He’s definitely still stronger than Jiren, otherwise he would have looked more concerned during the competition, but it stands to reason that Jiren has continued to train following the Tournament of Power’s conclusion, and his latest gains might be enough to humble Beerus.
Planet-Eater Moro Is An Evil Magic User Who Is Responsible For The Destruction Of An Entire Star System
Beerus, by nature, is an intimidating individual. His God of Destruction status revolves around the elimination of planets to help maintain a cosmic balance. Curiously, Dragon Ball Super’s Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga introduces Moro, a dark wizard who has been in prison for over ten million years because he’s too powerful to be killed.
Moro has wiped out over 320 planets and the entire Iragi Star System. He regains the full extent of his power with the help of the Dragon Balls, and he also steals other advantageous abilities, including Merus’ Perfected Ultra Instinct.
Moro, who has fused with the Earth, weaponizes the planet to battle Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku’s energy avatar. The level of power is so extreme and past anything that’s previously been experienced that it’s likely to verge into God of Destruction territory. Moro’s power was even enough to defeat Merus, a former Angel, which is no small feat.
Gas Gains Limitless Power With The Help Of A Temperamental Dragon Ball Wish
Dragon Ball Super‘s Granolah the Survivor Saga shifts gears from the powerful and vengeance-driven Cerealian to the Heeter Force’s Gas as the true villain. Gas exploits Planet Cereal’s Dragon Balls to become the strongest in Universe 7, albeit at the cost of a significantly shortened lifespan.
Gas’ strength, particularly in his Inner Nature Unleashed and Awakened Forms, casually takes on Full-Power Granolah, True Ultra Instinct Goku, and Ultra Ego Vegeta. His unique energy attacks, remarkable speed, and impossible strength make it seem like there’s no way to defeat him. Gas even begins to rapidly age, as a result of the Dragon Ball wish’s conditions, yet his decrepit, zombie-like body continues to fight.
It’s not until Black Frieza shows up that Gas is destroyed. The Heeter’s boosted power and intense transformations would have been able to humble Beerus, especially since Gas isn’t fazed by Vegeta’s use of Hakai or his Beerus Ball. If Gas can defeat Beerus’ top students, then the God of Destruction is in trouble.
Black Frieza Is The Culmination Of A Decade Of Dutiful Training & Is Planning A Multiversal Takeover
Frieza is the closest thing that Dragon Ball has to a central villain. He’s returned more than any other antagonist, and he continues to boost his power to new heights that allow him to keep up with Goku and Vegeta. Golden Frieza was a significant upgrade, but it’s nothing in comparison to his more recent Black Frieza transformation.
Frieza explains that his latest form is the result of spending a full decade training in a time-dilated pocket dimension. Not much of Black Frieza’s strength has been seen, but he neutralizes True Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta with a single punch. He’s also able to kill Gas just as easily.
Black Frieza is so confident in his new power that he wants to take on the Zeno twins to become God Emperor of the multiverse. Frieza has seen Zeno’s power in action and if he thinks he possesses similar strength, then Beerus may not stand a chance.
