2 New Berserk Chapters Get Official Release Dates

The Berserk manga is receiving a ton of content after a long hiatus, as two new chapters have been announced, and they’re launching on the heels of the most recent issue.

Berserk was notorious for long hiatuses under its original author, Kentaro Miura, owing to the incredible detail of its artwork. Following Miura’s passing in 2021, the series was taken over by his friend and fellow mangaka Koiji Mori, who intends to complete the series. While Mori is working alongside Miura’s old team, Berserk still has long hiatuses between chapters, especially as they attempt to emulate the artwork quality the series is known for.

Chapter 384 of Berserk was released in the latest issue of Young Animal on June 12, 2026. Dark Horse Comics (which licenses Berserk outside of Japan and handles the official English releases) has announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the next chapters will be arriving soon: 385 launches on June 26 and 386 on July 10.

Berserk fans will be receiving regular releases of the latest issues over the course of a month, not counting the most recent chapter that just launched. How long this run of new content will last is anyone’s guess, but it’s still an exciting time for the fans, especially as chapter 383 launched in September 2025.

The Next Chapters Have Been Planned For 20 Years

Chapters 384-386 Berserk aren’t just run-of-the-mill issues. Koiji Mori posted on Twitter/X that this story arc was something Miura had planned for 20 years and that the current team worked incredibly hard to bring the original vision to life as best they could.

Without going into spoilers, the current story arc involves Guts separated from his friends and allies, isolated from the world around him. This could lead to an introspective storyline in which Guts finally confronts his actions over the years and changes as a human being. It’s unlikely this experience will alter Guts’ desire to introduce his sword to Griffith’s face, but it’s possible that he could come out of this experience a changed man, which is why Miura, and now, Moji, struggled to get it just right.
