10 Best Post-Avengers: Endgame MCU Movies & TV Shows

A lot has been made about the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in recent years. Many feel that the franchise peaked when it released Avengers: Endgame in 2019, which closed out the Infinity Saga. It felt like the culmination of everything the series had built toward over the years and since then, the quality of the franchise has gone up and down. For the most part, the MCU was consistently good leading up to Avengers: Endgame and inconsistent since.

Of course, with inconsistency comes some great releases. Although everything isn’t hitting at the level it did back when the MCU was at its peak, they’ve still shown that they’re capable of putting out fantastic content. Whether it’s for the small screen with Disney+ exclusive television series or a big screen blockbuster that features heroes we know or introduces us to new ones, the MCU has continued to put out some great content.

When things are hitting for the MCU, they still have a high bar that they reach. These films and TV shows are proof of that, and though they aren’t the only good projects released by the MCU since Avengers: Endgame, they are the best of the bunch.

Daredevil: Born Again (2025-)

Daredevil: Born Again had a lot to live up to. The Netflix series was a hit with critics and audiences to the point where they clamored for Charlie Cox to return as the titular character. He ultimately did in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, as did Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin in Hawkeye. That set the stage for Daredevil: Born Again.

As a continuation of the original Netflix show, this series kept the gritty and violent nature that made it so popular. While arguments could be made that the new show should move away from Kingpin as the villain, the interactions between him, Daredevil, and Bullseye are great. New characters like Daniel Blake were welcome, as were the returns of Karen Page and Jessica Jones.

Wonder Man (2026)

Wonder Man stands out because it’s unlike anything else in the MCU. At times, it doesn’t even feel like a superhero show, instead acting as an intriguing character study that also pays homage to the world of making movies.

Wonder Man follows Simon Williams, a man with energy-based superpowers, as he lands the titular role on a new TV series. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II delivers a remarkable lead performance, while Sir Ben Kingsley does fantastic work returning as Trevor Slattery. The series tries new things and that led to some incredibly strong reviews.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

No film likely had a tougher time getting through production than Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The movie went through major changes following the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, leading to rewrites and some heavy emotional moments that came through on the screen.

The end result was a great film, with Shuri taking over as the Black Panther following the loss of her brother and her mother. Namor was introduced as one of the best villains in the MCU, Ryan Coogler’s signature style is evident, and Michael B. Jordan has a tremendously set-up cameo.

7

Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings (2021)

One of the coolest superheroes introduced in the post-Avengers: Endgame world is Shang-Chi. His solo outing, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, featured some of the best action in the MCU’s history, which includes nods to iconic martial arts cinema.

Simu Liu is incredibly charismatic as the titular protagonist while veterans like Tony Leung and Michelle Yeoh stole the show. The movie even landed an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects. It’s a shame we haven’t seen more of Shang-Chi since his movie because he’s an excellent new character.

6

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had the tall task of concluding an outstanding trilogy and it managed to stick the landing. The film put the focus on Rocket Raccoon, showing his heartbreaking origin and giving us a truly despicable villain in The High Evolutionary.

As always, the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is great together and James Gunn’s signature style is evident all over the place. It also perfectly concluded the story for most characters, from Drax finding his place as a father figure to Gamora finding a new family to Peter ending up back on Earth.

5

Agatha All Along (2024)

Nobody expected Agatha All Along to be as good as it was. When it was announced, it sounded lackluster as a series centering on the fun villain from WandaVision didn’t seem like enough to build a story around. Even if it did, it’s not like Agatha is a wildly popular character who everyone would flock to see.

However, the end result was a spectacular show. The witches who join Agatha all became characters who viewers appreciated, the mystery at the center was engaging, and Aubrey Plaza’s portrayal of Death is one of the best things we’ve ever seen in the MCU.

4

WandaVision (2021)

Before Agatha All Along, there was WandaVision, which was a huge undertaking after the pandemic. The high-concept show saw Wanda Maximoff and Vision live out fabricated lives in various sitcom eras, allowing the show to be an interesting superhero project and a love letter to TV through the ages.

Elizabeth Olsen gives one of the best performances in the entire MCU as we watch her deal with grief and be absolutely terrifying, almost at the drop of a dime. The black-and-white episodes were fun, the show gave us Agatha, Billy, Tommy, and Monica Rambeau, and it was all people were talking about as soon as the credits rolled each week.

3

Thunderbolts* (2025)

Like Agatha All Along, expectations weren’t high for Thunderbolts* and it also ended up being way better than most people expected. The film takes antagonists and anti-heroes from previous projects and puts them together on a team, adding in a powerful new character named Bob.

Led by the endlessly entertaining Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, the movie ended up having a ton of heart. It dealt with dark subject matter like depression in a heartfelt way and by the end of the film, the story made us care about this team in a way that we hadn’t with most other teams.

2

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

The biggest film since Avengers: Endgame is certainly Spider-Man: No Way Home. As the third installment following Tom Holland as Peter Parker, it raised the stakes in a big way by including the multiverse, meaning characters from past Spider-Man films could take part.

The trailers gave away the appearances of Electro, Doctor Octopus, and more, but the movie itself gave us the return ot Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Spider-Man: No Way Home works so well because it doesn’t just use nostalgia for the sake of it but to further the story of Spider-Man and his growth.

1

Loki (2021-2023)

The work done with Loki on his Disney+ show is some of the best stuff the MCU has ever concocted. The character got a redemption arc that ended with his death in Avengers: Infinity War, only for Avengers: Endgame to give us a different version of Loki who stole the Tessaract.

Loki picks up after he did that and sees him get taken in by the Time Variance Authority. What follows is a thrilling series involving time travel that sees Loki get yet another redemption arc, which is even better than the first. The supporting cast is great, Tom Hiddleston is excellent, and the series finale features one of the MCU’s best scenes ever.
