Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Is Going To Settle The Strongest Hashira Debate For Good

The Hashira are the strongest Demon Slayers in the franchise. There were 9 Hashira in total at the beginning of Demon Slayer, but after Rengoku’s death and Uzui’s retirement, there are 7 in the final arc of the series.

The Hashira are amazing every time they’re on-screen, but it can be hard to tell who is the strongest. Other than a brief sparring match before the Infinity Castle arc, they never battle one another, making it hard to see who stands out.

The second film in the Infinity Castle trilogy will show who is strongest once and for all. In hindsight, it’s not that hard to see why this Hashira stands above the rest, and his overwhelming battle prowess makes it all too obvious.

The Hashira Are the Strongest Demon Slayers Around, But…

The Demon Slayer Corps are the only thing standing between Demons and the human populace. Their ability to use Breathing Techniques and expert swordsmanship give them a fighting chance against their demonic foes, and out of every Demon Slayer, there are none stronger than the pillars of the organization, the Hashira.

The Hashira each have their own unique Breathing Style and create moves based off of it. Every Breathing Technique is derived from Sun Breathing, created by the strongest Demon Slayer in history, Yoriichi Tsugikuni. These Breathing Techniques are downright beautiful and even more deadly, setting the Hashira apart from regular Demon Slayers.

Demon Slayer’s Movies Are Going to Ruin Anime

Demon Slayer’s movies have become some of the most financially successful movies ever, but that doesn’t mean that they’re good for anime.

It can be hard to tell which Breathing Techniques are the strongest. Sound Breathing is derived from Thunder Breathing, but that doesn’t necessarily make Sound Breathing weaker than Thunder Breathing, and Uzui would probably beat Zenitsu in a fight if he had both of his arms and eyes still.

Out of every Hashira, however, there is one who is quite literally head and shoulders above the rest, and it might not have anything to do with his Breathing Technique. The strongest Hashira in Demon Slayer has the most experience, is the oldest, the biggest, the strongest physically, and more, and without him, the Demon Slayers wouldn’t have a chance in the Infinity Castle.

Gyomei Himejima Is the Strongest

There isn’t a Hashira alive stronger than Gyomei Himejima. The Stone Hashira is the strongest by some margin, and the second film in the franchise will show the full extent of his unbelievable strength. Before the first Infinity Castle film, Gyomei was shown holding his own against a disabled Muzan, even decapitating the King of Demons with a single strike.

Gyomei is the oldest Hashira alive at 27. It’s a very young age, but in a field in which most of his comrades die early, gruesome deaths, Gyomei is a veteran. The Stone Hashira has one of the most interesting kits in Demon Slayer as he doesn’t come to battle with a katana like everyone else but with a massive axe and spiked flail, two perfect tools for someone with his strength.

Out of every Hashira, Gyomei has the toughest job ahead. He’s set to face one of the strongest Demons in existence, and even his immense strength and experience might not be enough to carry him through the battle. It’ll be interesting to see how his battle is fleshed out in the next Demon Slayer movie, but win or lose, there’s not another Hashira that can be called his superior.
