Transformers Officially Rules the Roads With New Wreck & Rule Release

The Blokees Transformers model kits traditionally portray the characters in their robot modes, with the Cybertronians in question hailing from various continuities. Now, the next wave of the line’s newest subseries is rolling out with another slate of vehicles.

Blokees Wheels Transformers C03 Wreck & Rule has an all-new wave of model kits based on the particular characters’ vehicle modes. These include an Autobot who usually has a far more bestial alternate mode, and an Autobot who, in his first appearance, never transformed. Available to order now, a few of the chase figures even come with special pilot figures, evoking the franchise’s origins.

Blokees Returns to the Road with Newest Transformers Wheels Kits

Blokees’ Wheels Transformers C03 Wreck & Rule features vehicle modes for several Generation 1 characters, with quite a few of them debuting in The Transformers: The Movie. These would be the wise Kup, the female Autobot Arcee, Blurr and Springer, the latter of whom is represented in his Cybertronian helicopter mode. The other G1 characters are the Autobots Smokescreen and Sideswipe, as well as the evil Stunticon cars, Dead End and Wild Rider.

While the Dinobot leader Grimlock debuted in the franchise’s first incarnation, this version, which has a Cybertronian tank-truck mode instead of his usual Tyrannosaurus Rex mode, is based on his appearance from the Dreamwave Productions comic book, Transformers: The War Within. Alpha Trion is depicted in a Cybertronian sports car mode, which he never transformed into during the original 1984 cartoon (for which he was created, as he didn’t hail from the toyline).

Drift is from the IDW Publishing Transformers comic books, starting off as a Decepticon before changing factions. Finally, the Decepticon (but largely unaffiliated) bounty hunter Lockdown is shown in his Cybertronian muscle-car mode, an exact recreation of the vehicle mode he debuted in Transformers: Animated.

There are 1/144-chance variants of Springer and Lockdown, with these versions having slightly different color schemes and a metallic finish. On top of that, they boast small pilot mini-figures, seemingly homaging the pilots of the classic Diaclone toys that became Transformers.

The entire wave can be purchased from the official Blokees website for $41.88 USD, with these easy-to-assemble model kits being perfect for fans, young and old. As mentioned, many of these characters debuted in The Transformers: The Movie, which is now turning 40 years old amid major celebrations.
