Terrifier Fans Watch Out, Art The Clown Officially Returns November 2026

Dead by Daylight recently celebrated a momentous milestone, with 2026 marking a decade since the asymmetrical horror game was originally released. For the last 10 years, each Dead by Daylight anniversary event has been a special commemoration of the playerbase community and Behaviour’s dedicated, ongoing efforts, as highly anticipated content and updates are teased and yearly roadmaps are unveiled.

Dead by Daylight’s Jason DLC Chapter will be released this week, meaning that many fans are finally being treated to a licensed killer character whom they might’ve waited this whole decade for. Ironically, even if it isn’t as popular or nostalgic as the slasher franchise Friday the 13th, there is one macabre horror IP that some fans may have been waiting an equally long time to see arrive in Dead by Daylight: Damien Leone’s Terrifier.

Announced during Dead by Daylight’s Year 10 Anniversary Broadcast (and subsequently shared via Twitter/X), Terrifier will soon make its Dead by Daylight debut with a licensed DLC Chapter later this year. Terrifier is known for its iconic antagonist, Art, and the barbaric brutality with which the mute, black-and-white clown assaults and kills his victims.

Terrifier is still rather niche and arguably doesn’t have as immense an audience as it ought to. Its indie horror subgenre revels far less in actual ‘horror’ as much as excessive gore and abhorrence, though it’s fantastic that its audience is obviously significant enough to earn it a place in Dead by Daylight’s rich horror tapestry, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Halloween, Chucky, Alien, and The Ring (in Dead by Daylight, that audience is likely to blossom exponentially).

It’s unknown what this Dead by Daylight DLC Chapter will entail, specifically, as the Year 11 roadmap graphic neglects to share any further details about it. Of course, it’s safe to assume that Art the Clown himself will be adapted as a brand-new killer character, and many fans would probably be fully satisfied if he were in all the Chapters.

Dead by Daylight already boasts a vile killer clown as an original character, and yet Dead by Daylight’s Clown and Terrifier’s Art are thankfully aesthetically unique.

It’ll be fascinating to see how Terrifier’s Art the Clown plays as a killer; he’s bound to have his tiny horn, perhaps as an add-on item, and it’d be incredible if he hauls his garbage bag around with him in-game and is able to produce miscellaneous weapons from it. Plus, there are even a couple of viable survivor character adaptations that Dead by Daylight could consider for the Chapter, as well, such as Terrifier siblings Sienna and Jonathan Shaw (as their own characters, or maybe as DLC skins for the game’s original characters). Either way, we don’t have long to wait.

Dead by Daylight’s Terrifier Chapter is scheduled to be released in November 2026.
