Steam Officially Launching New Dark Shonen JRPG Hell’s Paradise This July

Dark Shonen fans yearning for more Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku don’t have to wait long for the next chaotic adventure. The series’ first-ever Japanese role-playing game is releasing this July on Steam for fans in the U.S.

The Good Smile Company officially revealed that it will release an English version of Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle, a free-to-play JRPG based on the Shonen Jump+ digital series by Yuji Kaku. An official Steam page for the survival JRPG is now available. Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle will launch in the U.S. on July 1, 2026.

The game will also be available on mobile devices and will support cross-platform data linking with the PC version. The upcoming arrival of Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle comes just as Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Season 2 recently finished its winter run on Crunchyroll. Season 2 aired for 12 episodes from January 11 to March 29, 2026.

Hell’s Paradise Officially Comes West With New Steam Release

A special video celebrating the upcoming English release of Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle, featuring Chiaki Kobayashi (voice of Gabimaru), Rie Takahashi (voice of Yuzuriha) and Aoi Ichikawa (voice of Fuchi Yamada Asaemon), was released on the official Good Smile Japanese YouTube channel. In the video, the original Japanese voice cast shared their excitement about the series’ first-ever JRPG expanding overseas and about the anime fandom growing even further with the recent release of Hell’s Paradise Season 2.

New and longtime fans of Hell’s Paradise will be excited to know that the upcoming survival JRPG will feature new, original stories fully voiced by the Japanese voice cast. In addition to new stories, fans will be able to relive the anime’s storyline in exciting new ways through gameplay. Series composer Akira Kindaichi supervised the game.

The Hell’s Paradise video game also features stunning battle animation supervised by MAPPA, the anime studio responsible for the TV series. In celebration of its 15th anniversary, MAPPA is holding a special event featuring details on new and ongoing projects, including Hell’s Paradise Season 3, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, the Chainsaw Man anime sequel, and much more.

Hell’s Paradise Seasons 1-2 are available to stream on Crunchyroll. “Gabimaru reigns as the strongest and most ruthless assassin in his village,” the official series description reads.

“But now finds himself on death row — with only one way out: retrieve the Elixir of Life from a sinister island. Longing for freedom, he accepts the challenge. But with fellow convicts vying for the same prize and demonic beasts lurking, how will Gabimaru survive this harrowing quest?”

The manga by Yuji Kaku can be read digitally via the Viz Media and Manga Plus apps. Jigokuraku: Paradise Battle will be released in the U.S. on iOS, Android and PC via Steam on July 1, 2026.
