Star Wars Outlaws Officially Free To Download Until June 23

If you’re a fan of both video games and Star Wars, you should be feeling pretty good right now, with a ton of exciting projects coming down the pipeline. Whether you’re a fan of the Old Republic era or simply want to take on Sebulba in pod racing, over the next few years there should be a little something for everyone.

That said, the range we already have is more than solid enough, with hundreds of hours of enjoyment to be found across tens of games and a variety of platforms. One of the more interesting efforts in that regard is arguably Star Wars Outlaws, and if you have yet to give it a go, this week could provide the perfect opportunity.

In case you missed it at launch, Star Wars Outlaws is an open world RPG set in 3 ABY, in that small, previously unexplored gap between Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. Though it didn’t strike the right chord with everyone, it has iconic locations, aesthetics, and other features from the beloved franchise.

It’s also pretty fun to play through, and if that doesn’t make it worth a go as a fan, then I don’t know what does. Happily, if you do want to give it a go, Ubisoft is set to run a free trial of their Ubisoft+ Premium subscription service from June 18–23. To sign up, all you need to do is make an account and follow the free trial links on the official website, or the Ubisoft launcher.

The only details you need to be aware of are the differing launch times depending on where you are in the world. The full list of locations and when the trial is set to go live is as follows:

  • North, Central, and South America: June 18 at 6:00AM PDT – June 23 at 6:00AM PDT
  • Europe and Middle East: June 18 at 3:00PM CEST – June 23 at 3:00PM CEST
  • Japan: June 18 at 10:00PM JST – June 23 at 10:00PM JST
  • Asia and Oceania: June 18 at 10:30PM ACST – June 23 at 10:30PM ACST

As well as Star Wars Outlaws, the catalog also includes 19 Assassin’s Creed games, and a bunch of releases from other iconic franchises under the Ubisoft banner.

It’ll certainly give you something to do while we wait to hear more about the upcoming Star Wars projects, with Star Wars: Galactic Racer the first up to bat on October 6, 2026.
