Solo Leveling has grown into one of the biggest IPs in record time, leaving fans desperately waiting for Season 3. While recent financial documents released by D&C Media pointed toward a 2027 to 2028 release window for the next season, that sounds like a painfully long wait. However, there is a good chance the franchise will not stay quiet for that entire period.

Recent rumors and leaks are pointing towards a surprise Solo Leveling movie just before season 3 hits streaming. A-1 Pictures has remained surprisingly quiet about Season 3, while producer Atsushi Kaneko has recently teased that major news is on the way. This indication strongly points towards a plan for something before its release.

Before Season 2 aired, the studio released Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-, which helped keep the excitement around the franchise alive. Repeating that strategy with a feature film covering the next major arcs would not be surprising at all. If that turns out to be the plan, fans may not have to wait until Season 3 to see Sung Jinwoo back in action.
