Released back in 2004 as the final entry in Pokémon’s third generation, Pokémon Emerald took players to the beloved Hoenn region where they were tasked with dominating a series of eight Pokémon Gyms in order to challenge the Elite Four and become the Hoenn League Champion. However, with two criminal organizations planning to harness the power of a legendary Pokémon, players will also have to embark on a subplot alongside their strongest ‘mons.
Receiving generally favorable reviews upon launch, Pokémon Emerald has quite the dedicated fanbase and so it is no wonder that one has been working on a new-and-improved version of the 2004 Pokémon entry we all remember so well.

As such, Pokémon Emerald features Hoopa Legendary Rings, where players can encounter legendary Pokémon, remastered music, secret bases that can be decorated and customized, multiple save files allowing for multiple playthroughs, challenge modes including a built-in Nuzlocke, Randomizer, and other difficulty settings. There is also a Pokémon World Championship where you can test your skills against other Trainers in the region, as well as a Battle Frontier where you can earn rewards by challenging the facilities.
With over 900 Pokémon to encounter, inspired by Gen 1-8, you will also be able to discover 100 Mega Evolutions, including forms from Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Add an outfit shop, ranger quests, updated graphics, and the ability to travel across Hoenn with your Pokémon following close behind, and Pokémon Eternal Emerald offers everything you could possibly ask for in an expansive ROM hack experience.
