Rhythm Heaven Groove releasing July 2, 2026.
10:02 AM – This actually looks pretty cool. Over 80 new rhythm games and various modes, including one that looks like a pretty fun turned-based RPG.
10:00 AM – Here we go! Nintendo kicks things off with Rhythm Heaven Groove. And, yes, there are dancing cats.
9:59 AM – Anyone else think about how much of your life is spent watching countdowns for gaming broadcasts? Just me?
9:52 AM – Broadcast still hasn’t started, but Nintendo is sharing some fun stuff, including a reminder that Donkey Kong 64 is available now on NSO and Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch 2 edition being a thing. Also getting to jam out to the ad for Nintendo Music app.
9:50 AM, Austin – June’s Nintendo Direct is finally here. The event kicks off in about 10 minutes at 10 am ET/7 am PT. Expectations are pretty high, considering this is the first long Direct we’ve gotten since the Switch 2 was released last summer. While we’re expecting to see more about the new Fire Emblem game, all eyes are on whether The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will be revealed today or not. We should find out pretty soon!
