The most unexpected part of Deadpool & Wolverine is heading for a comeback. Fans will even be able to bring the Cavillrine home for themselves soon enough.
Hasbro has officially unveiled its next slate of Marvel Legends action figures, with a full dozen characters slated to receive the hit line’s iconic treatment. Among them is none other than Deadpool & Wolverine‘s very own Cavillrine (Henry Cavill as Wolverine) with a figure that captures the very essence of Henry Cavill’s most absurd role yet.
The New Marvel Legends Cavillrine Figure is Perfect for Fans and Collectors of Every Ilk
Pre-orders for the Cavillrine Marvel Legends figure open on June 9, with the figure itself available for $27.99. The official product description from Hasbro reads, “Making his MCU debut, an unexpected face made a surprise cameo as a Wolverine variant with little patience for Deadpool’s antics. Bring the excitement and wonder of the Marvel Universe to your collection with this Hasbro Marvel Legends The Cavillrine action figure!”
The Marvel Legends Cavillrine figure stands at six inches tall and is fully poseable with multiple points of articulation. The figure is packaged with one interchangeable head and two interchangeable hands, showcasing Cavillrine with his claws in both their ready and retracted states.
Henry Cavill made his debut as Cavillrine in Deadpool & Wolverine, which introduced numerous alternate versions of the Merc With a Mouth and other characters. Among these was the Cavillrine, who showed up just long enough for Deadpool to sneak in a barb at DC Studios. Of taking on the role, Cavill himself previously admitted, “To be safe, I shaved the mustache off for this one. Just the mustache.”
What’s Next for Henry Cavill in the World of Pop Culture?
Henry Cavill is lined up to star in several upcoming features, all of which will mark major occasions for some of the hottest franchises of all time. Apart from Netflix’s upcoming Enola Holmes 3, Cavill is slated to appear in Amazon MGM Studios’ live-action Voltron as King Alfor. Neither is the most surprising production he is attached to right now.
Cavill is also set to star in the upcoming Highlander reboot, also from Amazon MGM Studios, which will see him step into the role of Connor McLeod. Alongside Cavill, Highlander will star Russell Crowe as Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, Dave Bautista as the dreaded Kurgan, and Djimon Hounsou as Connor’s close friend and fellow immortal Sunta Kastagir.
To top things off, Cavill is also making major headway with the hotly anticipated Warhammer 40,000 adaptation, yet another production of Amazon MGM Studios. In February, it was reported that Cavill has been personally overseeing “lore audits” throughout the series’ development, which include reviewing “more than 300 individual lines of dialogue, terminology, and world-building detail,” with the star and lifelong fan going so far as to verify “Space Marine chapter armor color schemes, cross-checking Imperial iconography, and ensuring the correct pronunciation of notoriously dense High Gothic terms like Adeptus Astartes,”
The Cavillrine Marvel Legends figure from Hasbro is currently available for pre-order.
