The Halo franchise has been in a bit of a weird place since the days of Reach, with most releases failing to capture the magic that made the series feel so special and unique in the first place. With that in mind, the next release or two are genuinely critically important if we want to continue seeing great games tied to the IP and not lose an all-time great of the genre to the ravages of time.
The first step on that road to recovery is the upcoming release of Halo: Campaign Evolved later this year, a ground-up remake of the first game in the series. Levels have been redesigned, with some new missions, while the voice cast returned to redo their lines from all those years ago. If you are planning on giving it a go when it does eventually drop, you can already secure yourself an in-game download that will really make your protagonist standout in a field of highly trained soldiers.
As first reported by True Achievements, Fanta and Xbox have been running a special collaboration that allows you to get rewards for first party games simply by picking up specially branded versions of the popular soft drink. That includes Campaign Evolved, for which you can earn the
The full list of rewards available and their associated games is as follows:
- Halo: Campaign Evolved — The Master Chief’s Fantastic Spartan Armor [Redeemable at launch]
- World of Warcraft — Fantastical Goblin Waveshredder Mount and more WoW rewards
- Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 — Tactical Orange Calling Card and 1-Hour 2XP Level Token
- Diablo IV — Citron Whirl Town Portal
- Forza Horizon 6–1966 Toyota Sports 800 Fanta Edition
To pick up the items for yourself, you need to scan the QR code on the side of the drink packaging. That will in turn give you the chance to participate in one of three Fanta Rewards Chest challenges: Extract the Cargo, Survive the Sweep, and Shatter the Spell. From there, you’ll be entered into a draw for prizes including a ROG Xbox Ally, an Xbox Series S, an Xbox Wireless Controller, and one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (new subscribers only), as well as being given a code for your in-game item or boost.
The only caveat to all that is that the Xbox/Fanta collaboration has been live for a little while, so you now only have 72 hours to get involved and secure what you want for Halo or any other game included in the offer.
