The Genshin Impact 6.7 livestream has revealed all the details that players can expect from the upcoming patch, including its release date, the new playable character, the banner structure, and much more. Version 6.7 is expected to be the final patch for the 6.X loop, before the action RPG heads into Snezhnaya in Version 7.0. The release of Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact should occur in mid-August, if the regular schedule is to be followed and no delays occur. Before that happens, however, players will have to go through the contents of Version 6.7.
Ahead of the livestream, several leaks had already teased what players could expect in terms of playable content. As was rumored, there will only be one new playable character in the update. Moreover, it will serve as a bridge into Version 7.0, not only connecting the story to Snezhnaya, ever so slightly, but also wrapping up the story this year. Without spoilers, HoYoverse revealed everything that players can expect during the Genshin Impact 6.7 livestream, starting with when the patch will arrive.
Genshin Impact 6.7 – Release Date
Even though the Version 6.7 special event took place a day earlier than usual – as livestreams tend to occur on Friday mornings – the release date for the update seems to be on schedule with the game’s regular calendar. Set six weeks apart from the release of Genshin Impact 6.6, the Version 6.7 update will be released on July 1 across all platforms on which the game is currently available.
With the patch’s release date set, it is very unlikely that it will be pushed back in any way or form. When a delay is set to occur, HoYoverse usually pushes back the respective livestream, too. Since the special event has been broadcast and the release date has been announced, players can safely expect it to arrive on July 1, without any issues – if there are any, HoYoverse will likely let players know in advance.
Genshin Impact 6.7 Livestream Codes
Another big thing that happened during the special event was the reveal of the limited-time livestream codes, which grant players numerous in-game rewards. This includes Mora, Character EXP materials, and more. However, more importantly, these codes serve as a means of obtaining free Primogems in Genshin Impact without having to do anything else. In total, HoYoverse shared three codes, each providing 100 Primogems, for a total of 300 free Primogems.
The table below lists all three Version 6.7 livestream codes and their respective rewards:
|
Genshin Impact 6.7 Codes |
Rewards |
|---|---|
|
Marionette |
|
|
TotheMoon |
|
|
TeaPartyTime |
|
These livestream codes must be redeemed rather quickly, before they expire on June 22 at 12 am ET. To redeem each code, you can use one of two distinct methods. The first is through the official Genshin Impact website, where you’ll log in with your account and redeem each code. The second is via the Redemption Code feature in the Account tab in the in-game settings. Regardless of how you redeem your codes, you’ll need to claim the rewards from the in-game mailbox to use them.
New Genshin Impact 6.7 Character & Banner Lineup
As was mentioned, there will only be one new playable character in Version 6.7. The leaks about Sandrone in Genshin Impact were true, and the Fatui Harbinger will become playable in the upcoming patch. Sandrone is a 5-star Cryo Claymore user, brought back by a Second Chance gift, following her encounter with Dottore. As was previously leaked and then confirmed by HoYoverse, Sandrone will be able to summon a new mechanical ally called Fagio.
In combat, Sandrone will be able to use Stellar reactions, transforming the team’s Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct. When the reaction is triggered, she’ll summon an AoE, which reduces enemies’ Physical RES but also stores energy, increasing the team’s Stellar-Conduct Cryo and Electro DMG inside the area. Overall, it will be a sort of buff to Cryo in Genshin Impact, though only her presence will be able to make Stellar-Conduct become available – not unlike how Lunar reactions only happen with the presence of specific characters.
Fagio will fire AoE Cryo beams at enemies periodically, which will allow Sandrone to fight from a distance, even if she is a claymore character. With her Elemental Skill, the character will deal damage to enemies and buff Fagio, allowing for a persistent damage-dealing rotation involving the mechanical creation. Lastly, with her Burst, Sandrone launches a powerful and wide-ranging AoE Cryo DMG attack, which deals Stellar-Conduct DMG to enemies.
Players will be able to pull for Sandrone during Version 6.7’s Phase 1 banners, alongside a rerun banner for Citlali in Genshin Impact. Phase 2 banners will be composed of Columbina and Raiden Shogun banners. All these characters will run particularly well with Sandrone, so you may want to consider pulling for other units, too.
Story Updates, Events, & More
When it comes to story content, Version 6.7 will offer players a Sandrone-focused story mission, which will allow them to learn more about her and, upon completion, claim Ascension materials for her. Apart from that, players will also embark on a special adventure that will take place outside of Teyvat. The Traveler will step onto a spaceship, which will take them to the moon, where they’ll meet with Columbina in Genshin Impact.
This will be an entirely new map area to explore, which will connect more to the story of the Traveler, as a Descender of Teyvat, even if Columbina’s “strange” behavior is the pretense. Citlali and Charlotte also gain new outfits in Version 6.7, and the latter’s will be available to obtain for free upon completing the Sunny Summer Fontainalia flagship event. This event will be packed with several activities to partake in, as well as a new story arc.
It’s worth reinforcing that Version 6.7 is the final patch before the release of Snezhnaya, so players may want to jump back into the game and wrap up their affairs before heading into the Nation of Cryo later this Summer. A few details about the Cryo Traveler have been revealed, so be sure to get ready by playing Genshin Impact 6.7 once it is released in July.
