It’s a good time to be a Fallout fan. Whether that’s from watching Season 2 of the Amazon show, checking out the latest Fallout 76 expansion, or chugging IRL Sunset Sarsparillas, there’s no shortage of Fallout things out there, even if the wait for Fallout 5 feels like a long one. Now, fans of the post-apocalyptic franchise have a chance to grab a number of freebies, but they’re only available for a limited time.
A new trailer for Fallout 76 was part of June’s Xbox Games Showcase yesterday, revealing a number of (mostly) free things fans could get access to. In the time since the event on Sunday afternoon, the trailer was also summarized with screenshots over on X thanks to Wario74. You can view the full post below:
For those who play Fallout 76 already, there are free daily rewards that started on June 7 and will run through June 15, 2026. Additionally, there’s a free trial of Fallout 76 that runs from June 8 until June 15. The catch, however, is that you must own or have access to the game already in order to redeem the offers and take part in the free trial.
If you currently play Fallout 76, then there’s also Infestations, a free update that’s out now. This adds, among other things, a number of “infestation” areas to the map and revamps certain locations because of it. When an infestation happens, the enemies are significantly stronger and come with a boss equipped with a unique weapon to take down. Defeating the enemies can also net players 3-star Legendary gear.
If you haven’t played Fallout 76 in a while, then the free trial period in June is a great time to revisit the game. There have been nearly 70 free updates since the game launched in 2018, so it’s almost guaranteed there’s something new for you to find. Between the latest Infestations update and the free daily rewards through June 15, there’s plenty to get you back into the Wasteland. From everything we’ve seen of Infestations so far, it’s challenging, fun, and a great way to get some new gear.
If you’re interested, be sure to take advantage of these free offers. They’re only available for a limited time and will all expire on June 16, 2026. Considering Fallout 5 likely won’t release for years to come, getting invested in Fallout 76 can really help with the wait. Fallout fans, don’t miss out on this.
