Dragon Ball has revealed the first look at an all-new figure of pre-teen Gohan, giving fans a healthy dose of nostalgia for the franchise’s early days. Tamashii Nations’ S.H. Figuarts line has released a new figure for Gohan, which goes by the name Z Fighter Gohan (Type A) and is based on the character’s base form during the Android saga.
According to the official Dragon Ball website, the new figure comes with all-new sculpting along with new joints and movable parts, which include the product line’s trademark Dynamic-Movable Shoulder System. These movable parts can be used to create multiple dynamic poses of the character, allowing collectors to recreate his signature stances.

The figure stands 105mm tall and is made out of PVC and ABS. It comes with the main body, three pairs of swappable hand parts, three swappable facial expressions, and one swappable head part for his hair. Additionally, the limited-edition first figure comes with a Z Fighter Type-A Display Base.
The Z Fighter Gohan figure (Type A) is currently available for pre-order in Japan and will officially release in November this year, priced at 7,700 yen (approximately US$49). While no official release window for the U.S. has been announced for the figure, it will definitely hit shelves in international markets soon, just like previous figures from this line. Furthermore, the official website has hinted that Type B and Type C versions of the figure will be released in the future.
This version of Gohan first appeared on television screens in Japan in 1992, and later debuted in the United States in 2000. While he trained rigorously alongside his father and Piccolo for three years following Future Trunks’ warning about the threat that awaited them, Goku forced him to remain sidelined on Kami’s Lookout due to the sheer scale of the battle against Android 17 and Android 18.
His subsequent feelings of powerlessness ultimately pushed him to train harder in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, allowing him to attain his Super Saiyan form and eventually become the undisputed hero of the Cell saga. This transformation is still widely considered a high point in Gohan’s character arc.
Dragon Ball’s S.H. Figuarts series was originally launched by Tamashii Nations in 2009 with Piccolo as its debut release and has since established itself as a gold standard for the anime’s action figures.
The line utilizes engineered movable parts, including double-jointed limbs, twisting torsos and other specialized joints, ensuring seamless character sculpts even during action poses and iconic ki-blast attacks.
Recently, the S.H. Figuarts line celebrated a major milestone by releasing its 200th figure, a commemorative Goku figure honoring the franchise’s 40th anniversary. The figure, based on a special illustration of Goku drawn for the Slogan Grand Prix, will hit shelves in October 2026.
