Dragon Ball: Cross Force Officially Coming June 19

Dragon Ball games have been around since the 1980s, and they played a major role in keeping the franchise alive during the 2000s, when it seemed like the anime and manga were done forever. Now, a brand-new expansion is coming to one of the more underrated titles in the franchise.

In one week, Dragon Ball: Cross Force will be released. The newest booster pack for the “Dragon Ball Super Fusion World” card game, the set is notable for its focus on Super Saiyan Blue and Vegito, with plenty of other exciting cards also being added into the mix.

Dragon Ball Cross Force Brings Vegito to the Anime’s Official TCG

The Dragon Ball Super Fusion World TCG launched in 2024. Over the last two years, it hasn’t been able to match the success of its closest rival, the One Piece TCG, but it has still amassed a sizable following, especially in Japan. With “Cross Force,” the game celebrates the release of its tenth booster pack set.

“Dragon Ball Super CG: Booster Pack – Fusion World 10” is set to come out on June 19th. Each pack will contain 12 cards and a promotional code for the digital version of the pack, and will retail in America for approximately $7 USD.

The most notable additions to the game from this set are the ten new Leader cards. First and foremost is a new Leader card featuring Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, the art of which is used on the booster packs’ packaging. Just as in the anime and manga, when Goku and Vegeta are pushed to their limits, they can fuse together to form a Super Saiyan Blue Vegito Leader card.

The other Leader card awakenings see Goku going from using the Spirit Bomb to going Super Saiyan, just as he did in his initial battle against Frieza on Namek, Piccolo going from training a kid Gohan to fighting alongside an adult version of his best friend, Bojack going from standing alongside his villainous crew of space pirates to fighting alone in his powered-up form, and Cell growing from an embryo into his Super Perfect form.

What makes “Cross Force” so interesting is that it’s fundamentally changing the game. This is the first time dual Leader cards have been introduced, and there’s ample opportunity for the game to expand on the mechanic with future sets, most notably given the absence of Gogeta here.

Other characters with his new cards in the set include: Base Vegito, Lord Slug, Krillin, Android 18, and Zangya. The biggest chase cards in the set also come in multiple variants, meaning fans will have to buy a plethora of booster packs in order to get their hands on every single Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, Super Saiyan Teen Gohan, and Super Perfect Cell.
