Persona Officially Celebrates 30th Anniversary With New Limited Edition Collection

2026 continues to be the year of Persona, with its 30th anniversary coming up in September. As part of the three-decades-in-the-making celebration, Persona is releasing a brand-new limited edition collection dedicated to Sega’s strongest JRPG franchise.

Sega and Atlus, in partnership with iam8bit, are releasing a new limited-edition Persona compilation album celebrating the series’ legendary music. From the original Persona (Revelations: Persona) to Persona 5, the 30th Anniversary Jazz Album features remixed tracks performed by The Blueshift Big Band, a 17-piece jazz ensemble from Chicago, renowned for its jazzy interpretations of classic video game music.

Pre-orders for Persona 30th Anniversary Jazz Album are available at the official iam8bit website, but only while supplies last. The estimated shipment is scheduled for Q3 2026.

Persona 30th Anniversary Jazz Album: A Near-Perfect Tribute to Sega’s Best JRPG

“The name Persona is synonymous with iconic music. From the foundational themes in the first Persona to the sizzling hot songs that made Persona 5 an instant classic,” the official description for the compilation album reads, via iam8bit. “Atlus Sound Team’s catchy soundtracks are now woven into the very fabric of not just JRPG history, but video game history as a whole.”

“As such, iam8bit can think of no better way to celebrate the momentous milestone of thirty years than with a compilation album of Persona’s greatest hits. But this is no mere ‘best-of’ album; we’ve teamed up with our friends at Atlus to produce something truly worthy of the name Persona, a once-in-a-generation commemoration of one of gaming’s most legendary franchises.”

“This is the Persona 30th Anniversary Jazz Album, a one-disc compilation packed with Persona’s greatest tracks covered by the mad jazz geniuses The Blueshift Big Band. They’ve reimagined fan-favorite Persona tracks like ‘Heaven,’ ‘Last Surprise,’ and of course, ‘Aria of the Soul’ through their signature soulful, syncopated lens. For this special iam8bit Edition, we’ve pressed it on beautiful Blue Butterfly vinyl, a nod to the series’ recurring winged figure.”

In addition to the premium details, iam8bit has hired award-winning illustrator Mark Borgions to create the cover art for the Persona 30th Anniversary Jazz Album. As the Los Angeles-based collectible gaming company says, the 30th anniversary Persona album is the “very definition of a must-have.”

Among the highly sought-after collectibles released this year, Persona is keeping fans glued to their 30th anniversary celebrations with new updates and releases of older and ongoing titles, such as Persona 5: The Phantom X and the upcoming JRPG remake, Persona 4 Revival. These releases and more continue to drive up fandom demand for the next installment, Persona 6, which is strongly speculated to be in development.

In the meantime, JRPG fans can keep themselves occupied with Persona 3 Reload, Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio, a fantasy political JRPG developed by the same creative team as the Persona franchise.
